Member Since: April 2003 Posts: 2,483 Send Message	My maternal great grandfather John Michael Humphreys married Alice Owen in 1891 and the cert states he was 20 years old. The 1901 census states 30 years old so that fits. I do not know where he was born although he married Alice in Manchester. His father was called Patrick Humphreys. I have searched the 1881 census for a John Humphreys with father Patrick and come up with nothing. Does anyone have any tips on where to go next please? Also does anyone know what a 'Cooper Journeyman' was? This was John's occupation when he married. Thanks Lynne Sale
