My maternal great grandfather John Michael Humphreys married Alice Owen in 1891 and the cert states he was 20 years old. The 1901 census states 30 years old so that fits. I do not know where he was born although he married Alice in Manchester. His father was called Patrick Humphreys. I have searched the 1881 census for a John Humphreys with father Patrick and come up with nothing. Does anyone have any tips on where to go next please? Also does anyone know what a 'Cooper Journeyman' was? This was John's occupation when he married. Thanks Lynne Sale
