To Suzanne Re your pre 1837 birth Check with your relative if it was ALL the father's names missing or just yours - if it's just yours it would suggest your relative was illegitimate and you could well be at the end of that line's research, if it's all of them ... hmmm I'll think on suggestions for that one.
