warning, don't build your tree just on the IGI part of Family search- when you check original records and certificates you discover spelling mistakes and inaccuracies in it, but on the other hand it can point you in the right direction.That goes for freebmd also. Remember you can search the 1901 census online free, in fact I now get as much info free as when I paid to view the original-- look up a known ancestor, make a note of the civil parish, right click on the name in question and click properties you get an ID no- then go into advanced person search, and additional place details, type in the civil parish, type in surname only, then match up all the ID nos- consecutive ones give you a family group, aand you can check relationship to head by checking them off one by one- ok its an effort but can be cheaper than using vouchers and accounts etc and you end up with the same info.
