I find it very difficult getting information because I am 71 my mother and father were born in 1884/9 resp, i have three sisters 2 older one younger, sorry but their knowledge of our history is a very big 0 we have NO connection with any of our relatives because we do not know of any,I have got back to my Great/Great Grandfather at 1790 so you will see that the timescale is G R E A T I have a son of 14 years a daughter of 20 another of 34 and another of 46 years, I would love to put some meat on the bare bones BUT I have a bogey, My fathers Name was WAITE he came from Ripon in Yorkshire, was married, left his wife with a son around 1910 or so, I have no idea what his wifes name was or of the son, only that his first wife died around the mid 1940s at which time he married my mother as they say, this family history lark is a real who-dun-it, any POLITE suggestions would be greatefully received, you think you have problems ? in anticipation I wait with bated breath Colin Banks
