If you use XP.you can set up fax from the system,and you dont need to pre-scan,,,just send a fax back instead of email..mind they cost more,! |

elaine, it sounds as if your number is close to a number somebody faxes, but why at that time of the morning I can't think. It could be any one of the staff or students I assume so the uni is not likely to know who it is. Unless somebody is trying to send to another time zone maybe and not putting in the country code. Annoying though. Hope you sort it. |

Ask your provider to trace the calls and send you copies - then you can send them to Loughboro and have them trace the menace. |

We had this problem a long time ago and phoned BT for advice. They suggested we allow the machine to finish its job as it would keep ringing us till it had been able to send the whole message. They also said this was a common problem as whoever inputs the numbers into these things sometimes gets a digit wrong. shirley.x |
