Just a nudge, for the lucky ones of us that are NOT golden children.

And a big thank you to Sharron for starting this thread, bringing it out in the open, and for listening to me when I needed it most.

Thank you for the nudges.I don't like to nudge it myself because"You conceited little b****r,what makes you think other people are going to want to blah, blah, blah!"
I really have had a huge effect from reading that article.Certain stresses that I must have had for fifty years seem to have gone.Well,at last I have an explanation now and I feel that I never really knew my mother, just the personality disorder.
Let us hope that others can find some sort of peace from it too.

Carole you have made a huge step forward by seeking the guidance of a Counsellor.
It is about you now and building your self esteem.
The best of times await you.

Going for one of my counselling sesions this morning. I feel guilty thinking it's cos of mum I'm like this. At least the counselling doesn't bring it all back, it's about looking forward. And giving me hope of a normal life

Thank you Sharron, it was a two way street...

It only came out because I was devastated over the sudden loss of my Mum, and she said she felt that way about her departed Dad, but couldn't feel love for her Mother.......and it all came out.....

......we helped each other in different ways, and I am going out to lunch with her next week....she is so lovely.....

Thank you so much Tracey.Have just read it,short and succinct but let us hope it is another step toward getting this tragedy generally acknowledged.

There is an interesting article on this subject in today's Times, entitled "My mother hated all women"
