I mean, look at how dfifferent it was. Everyone got along, there were no nasty words, no cliques, no one threatening to leave, no bad tempers, no strops, no threads saying how good it used to be in the old days....

I think my definition of a real 'trouble maker' would have to be one that does not just confine themselves to the odd bit of nastiness on the these boards but carries it over to other sites and the 'real' world.

Unfortunately though a very small minority, there are people who get their pleasure from deliberately hurting others.

Its almost an institutionalized kind of fear on here these days, with everyone constantly looking over their shoulders, too afraid to say anything the least bit rude or controversial for fear of censure from the "nasties" and the "Cliques"!

Morning John. Everyone probably has different views on who troublemakers are. Praps a lot of us are in different ways, intentionally or unintentionally. All hooey really isn't it:)

This is my second time on GR, the first was about four years ago which lasted for about 18 months. Mainly spent on the Geneology side, during that time I was given a hell of a lot of help from some really wonderful people, and I'll never forget them..They made my time on GR well worth while and in a way I met quite a few new freinds... The second time on GR is now - I've been on for about three months, mainly, this time on Chat/Topic - I've ENJOYED the jokes, the banter, I've learnt many a thing (thanks to Elderick and Doc), made a few contacts, but I won't let anyone 'get thru' to me. So I certainly won't be packing my bags - But please tell me - "What is a trouble maker" ? - I must admit I have yet to 'meet' one.. Hugs and kisses to all the females, pats on the back to all the males...lol. John

I don't come on GR as often as I used to

I never was in a 'clique' always talked to everyone who talked to me,

I never saw the 'cliques' that others mentioned I saw individuals who liked each others company certainly...but they always spoke to people who joined in. But that changed recently , it is still only individuals who cause the unrest, but where one leads some are tempted to follow her.

I miss seeing names that were here when I joined, people who put themselves out ,like Catherine always did,to include newbies in their conversations.....

I won't leave till my sub is up...and there are some fantastic people still here and it is worth staying just to speak to them! SG is one of them as is Ally, ....too many to name xx
