Not while we are alive....................and when we die, either we will be in one of two places or nowhere at all................or somewhere we never in a million years even imagined:))

For me it would all have been a 'waste of time' if, when I die there is 'nothing'.. All the work gone into life, for what...Somewhere, whether one is religious or not, there has got to be SOMETHING, but none of this "Oh, we just die and that's it"........Yuk !!!

John Report 9 Jun 2008 21:22

Never been there Mac, but like you, in the RN, there are many places 'out there' that can be described as 'hell'................

I think in a way we live our own heaven and hell here on earth, but cannot for one minute believe that when you die "that's it" - I think the spirit goes on - I hope it does anyway

One good thing about moving to 'another place' - Just think of all the family and relatives you could meet up with - You'd have your Family Tree finished in no time - going back as far as you wish - now that would be a heck of a Family Tree to deck any wall....

The wall would be never-ending .... :-)

Wouldn't it be 'weird' if every single one of us were related to each other...........

I think that during our allotted time on Earth we make several journeys into " Hell"..........it's how we deal with these journeys personally that determine where we end up eventually. If I believed that all the strife and heartache was the total sum of life I would have given up a long time ago.

I think that as one gets older, again, whether or not you are religious, one tends to 'move' towards the idea that there is another 'place' , it just comes naturally.................

Surely the concept of hell takes in the idea that you actually know you are in a place of punishment for what you did previously. That is the whole point of the concept. So, in answer to your question, how can earth be hell?

I hope that there is a heaven.....I certainly dont believe that this is it. There has to be something more. What worries me is....if God forgives all sins, will Hitler and other evil people be there too.

I think if you read what it says in the bible it actually says that sins are forgiven if people repent - there is a difference.
