McAnne's Gahan-Crazy Report 11 Jun 2008 16:16

.

altho not at work, i had to nip into town to collect new spec's

whilst there i also bought a few bits i needed

so there i am walking back down to the station - one hand in plaster the other full of bags, and my handbag hitched over my head and hanging crossways

i walk past 3 foriegn looking lads and glance briefly at one as he drew on his fag and looked at me - he suddenly broke away from the other two just as i passed them all

my instincts were suddenlt on full alert and a quick glance back confirmed he was behind me

i get to 't' junction controlled by lights and there is a green groccers on the corner - i stopped to look at the cherrys cos i'd noticed them on the way up

when i glanced round this young fella was just stood on the kerbside - not crossing the road like everyone else (bus route only so no traffic)

so i go inside the shop where i can peep without being seen - and still he was just standing there

i loitered in the shop for at least 3 or 4 mins and had to excuse myelf to the lads who promptly asked if i was alright and then stepped outside to check on him .........

he'd then crossed the road and gone, so i continued on my way ......... i could see him ahead and he kept looking round so i loitered even longer in the PDSA shop and then Argos til i was sure he'd gone

i truly believe i was close to beco, ming a 'statistic' cos i looked vunerable cos if my hand

thank goodness that my instincts put me on alert !!

How scary..................thank goodness for small shopkeepers.

Scarey isnt it Anne

i was out a few years ago, hubby had gone ahead of me to the local club while i settled the kiddies, with the sitter

it was darkish, and as i walked into the sidestreet where the club was, a car drew up at the side of me, i looked and saw 3 men in it, Instinct kicked in, and i became very frightened, just knew they were going to try to get me in the car,
i turned and ran back down the street and into the chinese takeaway, very shaken
the owners went out looking, but they had gone,

I honestly think they saw the size of me and thought i was a lot younger than i was, im only 5ft 1 and weighed about 71/2 stone at the time

Police were called and everything, and it transpired there had been some men hanging about a local school, aswell, prob the same ones,

Really did frighten me, and anyone younger and less aware wouldnt have stood a chance !!!!

hope the ordeal hasnt unsettled you too much

sending a hug

I am okay - but it did worry me a bit at the time

mind - one clout round the head with my cast would have put him out cold lol

trouble we have a lot of eastern eurpoeans in maidstone now - most look unemployed by the way they dress and they just hang around in groups - very unsettling!!
