Christine we all met at the Gwent Family History Fair in Cwmbran, well Croesililog (sp) actually. Its next to the police headquarters so we had to be on our best behaviour lol.

We had some time there and whizzed off in a convoy of three cars all of us following Daff who has a car the colour of a Daffodil no less to our watering hole The Dragon Fly where we had a lovely pub lunch. I had scampi and chips - yummy downed with a soda and lime.

We all behaved ourselves impeccably. Claire is a chatterbox and so is Daff. Ann is so funny and Jax is lovely. Maddie - well Maddie is a chatterbox as well so dont believe her when she says she is *shy and retiring* Maddie may be shy but not retiring unlike me who just clams up! lol.

So there, a lovely few hours spent and the weather was very kind to us - sunshine and only just started a few spots when we were in the pub car park.

The only downfall is that I hardly spent any of my pennies!

Oh we met Ron - he was there with his stand sorry Ron forgot we met you. lol

I don't know what I did there either... hadn't finished typing!!

I had a lovely time... it was brilliant meeting you all.... Good company, good food, good fun...!

We waited with Jax... you should have seen Ann running down the platform waving a hankie at her as the train was pulling out... my sides were splitting!!
I have had my gt gt gt grandmother's maiden name identified... and a new parish in Cornwall to investigate.

I have also lost the tube of charts I bought... I don't know what I have done with them ;¬(( I think I left them on the floor of the car park while I sorted my boot out!

Ann should be online soon.... Jax won't be back until about 8.30..... and please don't believe a word of what she says......... she is SUCH a fibber ;¬)))

(Jax, I told you I'd get in first, ner ner!)

Hi Christina... Tywardreath..... it is where my gt gt gt grandparents were married.... I was thrilled to bits with that bit of info.... most of my ancestry is Devon and Cornwall. Not very Welsh that, is it!! They were miners.
