How exciting!! I remember the thrill I got when a cousin sent a photo of my great grandparents and my grandad sitting on his father's knee with the message "don't know if you've seen this". I cried 'cos I knew a photo like this must have existed but didn't know who would have it.

Well, I have the pictures now and omg they are fantastic. I have a pic of my grandad on a motorbike and a pic of Grandad with his father in law (The Great Grandfather whose burial whereabouts is a complete mystery) as well as other pictures too dating back to the early 1930's

Now I know what he really looked like and how he looks so much like his sisters (proved from pictures shared with me recently) and I believe his daughter (my nan)

I am so happy.

What do they tell you ?

I look forward to your next post My Lady.

I am still waiting to see them but Mum will email them on. I have shared pictures Ihave received of her ancestors with her today too.

She wasnt interested before but things have changed a bit.

I may not know where great grandfather was buried but I will soon know what he looked like and I will be able to compare him to 2 of his sisters thanks to a new contact va GR.

have discovered that she has received pictures of the family(ancestors) from her sister my aunt who said in the email to her "I bet Fiona would like these".
