advice needed please

last monday i went to the cash machine to get some cash out and my card wouldnt work so i went to the bank to ask why and the lady told me this card was canceled because they sent me a new card which i never received so this lady got a guy to come and help me and anyway this guy cancelled my new card and got on phone to order me a new one along with a new pin number

i got my new card on thursday but still waiting for the pin number

what i want to no is though i havent got the pin number am i allowed to do some grocery shopping online with this new card?

Yes I think so, as they dont ask for your pin number in fact if anybody asks for your pin number you shold refuse to tell them. But they may ask for the 3 digit security code that is on the back of the card.

I would have thought so because you are never asked for your pin no: on line - only the card number and the last three digits of the security number on the back

you dont need a pin number to do shopping online, you would need it though if you went into a shop .

you aren't asked for pin nos online just the 3 figure security code on the back

You may find you still have the same pin number, when i had a card changed, the pin number remained the same.

thanx for that james when i ordered the new card the guy told me i would have a new pin number but can change it back to my normal number if i wanted
