	Instant messengers are standalone programmes whereas MSN Groups run in a browser.

	aha!!!!! You mean the group rather than MSN Messenger. Let's make sure people are not getting confused. MSN Messenger (now Windows Live Messenger) is an IM (instant messenger) programme for chatting in real time. MSN Groups is more like, for example, Facebook in loose terms. The two should not be confused. If you are a member of an MSN Group you will be able to use a chatroom (if one is set up), add photos and so on. Just have a play around to find out - you can't really do any damage.
