strange that all the memories are mostly sad!!! everyone having a weep now? I'm all for having a bit of a wallow now and again - good for the soul I think and nothing to be ashamed of.

Nobodys child. My dad used to sing it, sure he had reasons for it, but still makes me cry 13 years later xxxxx

'Yesterday' by the Beatles reminds me of my Mum.

Why she had to go I don't know she wouldn't say...and she didn't

And a few songs that mum used to sing.
eg 'windmills of my mind' ..not sure if that's the correct title and not sure who sung it but it hurts to hear. 'Memories' by Barbara streisand. Breakfast at tiffany's theme song is another one.

personally..I think it is better sung by a female vocalist..Ave Maria...
By Youtubing..Ive heard many varieties..and I prefer it being sung by females..dont know why.

That's really strange Muffy!! I've just been googling the words to it too!

After reading the words to the song, I know why dad liked it so much.

Lily, that one( Ava Maria) brings a lump to my throat now, and I know that that is one of the one's that will be played at Dad's funeral when he goes, he used to sing it as a choirboy when he was little and he loves it. We are going to get Pavarotti's version played, and i know now that it will be the one that will make me cry.

Another one for me is If Tomorrow Never Comes, Ronan Keeting. It was one of my late dad's favourites. Have it on cd, but haven't heard it since he died because I just can't bare to play it.

Mother in law wpassed away, hubby had that at crem.

Month later my grandad passed away, i insisted it was played for him. When he was interred it was played.

When ever i feel down i grab my nan n garndad's picture and play it. I always end up crying whilest trying to sing along.

Another one of Robbie's songs that I have difficulty listening to is "Eternity" it was in the charts during the summer of 2001 and we were on holiday and had to come home a day early as Mum was getting worse, ( The holiday was booked by her and Dad and when she was admitted by the hospice she made us promise to still go away even if she couldn't come). Well we brought the latest Now cd (no 49) and the 1st track on the cd is "Eternity" and the start of the 2nd verse goes,

Yesterday when you were walking,
You talked about your Mom and Dad.
What they did had made you happy,
What they didnt made you sad.

We got home on late on the Friday night and that was the last time Mum spoke to all of us cohereantly, She died on the early hours of the following Tuesday morning.

Everytime I hear that song it fills me up, because of the significance.

Renee and Renato..coz its sooooo corny!
(save you love for me)

The Birdy song..makes me get up and dance..(alcohol induced dancing )

and senead Oconnor..(nothing compares to you)
takes me back to an unhappy relationship..

Dancing Queen by Abba..always gets me on the dance floor..
I am very mood motivated!!..; )
