I can't understand those who seek sanctuary here (or other countries) and then stir up trouble preaching hate racism and violence.. it just puzzles me.. surely it's like pooping in your own nest??

Radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza has lost his High Court battle against extradition to the US where he faces terror-related charges.
Two judges ruled that the decision to extradite was "unassailable".
Egyptian-born Hamza, 51, from west London, who is fitted with hooks on both partially-amputated arms, is serving a seven-year jail term for stirring up racial hatred and inciting followers to murder non-believers.
The US authorities want He could face a total of 11 terrorism charges, including sending money and recruits to assist the Taliban and al Qaida.
Sir Igor Judge and Mr Justice Sullivan, sitting at the High Court in London, gave his lawyers 14 days to apply for leave to launch a final appeal to the House of Lords after dismissing his case.
Senior district judge Timothy Workman ruled at Westminster Magistrates' Court that Hamza, currently held at Belmarsh top-security prison in south east London, could be extradited, and in February this year Home Secretary Jacqui Smith gave the final approval.
The High Court judges said they had reached the "clear conclusion that the order made by Judge Workman was properly made, and that the subsequent decision of the (Home Secretary) was unassailable".
Hamza's lawyers had argued at the High Court in London that extradition was unlawful because he would be tried in the US "on the basis of the fruits of torture". They said there was clear evidence that torture was used on some individuals in the process of gathering the information which led to the US extradition request.
They also contended that it would be "unjust and oppressive" to extradite because of the passage of time and incompatible with Hamza human rights. They said any further trials should take place in London

I agree with Caz and Eldrick too Len...............much safer if agencies know where he is and the bail conditions are very strict.

Pablo..................I'm sure everyone in the forces have their own opinions all the time..............they might not voice them in public though.

I'm with you Pablo - I'm too are ex-military, but what that has got to do with it, I don't know. You've got in right with "Human Rights", a simple case of not upsetting you know who. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Eldrick have been out of the forces long enough now to have my own opinions.

If he is to stay, then he should be made to pay and not the taxpayers of this country.

No legal aid (paid for by us tax payers)

If it was any of us that were accused of the sort of things that he has been accused of in his country do you think we would be treated with "kid gloves" not on your life we would be found guilty as charged then sentence carried out. Oh yes and the government of this "great " country of ours would just let us rot in some foreign jail.

I would suggest that the situation is not as clear cut as it may appear to the casual observer!

He is not being deported because it will breach his "Human Rights" what human rights what about the "Human Rights " of the people (our troop etc) who he delights in the death of.

Send him back and let him face consequences .f he is executed the tough luck

If he wanted asylum in this country, being frightened of being in Jordan, he should abide by our rules.

I thought Jordan was one of our Allies or am I mistaken? With regard to this man, at first I was horrified he wasn't deported as I suppose are most people in the UK, but then you have to ask yourself why supposedly intelligent people have decided to keep him here - not too sure about that one but I would imagine there's an awful lot we are not privy to
