try this, place some negatives on the bed of the scanner, place a sheet of white paper over them to hold them steady( and to reflect light) scan them, save them to desktop(so you can find them easily) |

Oh well Joy I don't have nothing like that but I have paid for the CD now. Just wish I knew where I could maybe have got them done a bit cheaper but my mum was worth it paid it out of the money I had for my birthday so won't miss it |

Eldrick i have only got a HP F2100 all in one printer and scanner so it it would not be good enough to do what yours does. I am only a amateur |

Your scanner needs to be able to do it....that means it should have a negative/slide holder and a light source in the lid with a diffuser attachment. |

Eldrick Well maybe I would not have bothered but I know they were all of my mother. How do you do them on a scanner? would you please tell me so that I can try with the others that I did not take I know these were at least over 50 years old |

Hi I took some of the negatives to a shop this morning not all of them they are putting them on a CD for me it cost £20 that was for 8 negatives. |

Yes my scanner can do that, Johnathon, although I have never tried it! But any photography shop will do it for you Margaret, I have had it done with both negatives and those little things (forget what they're called) that you looked at through a viewer...like slides. |

You can get your own printer that takes negatives - sorry if someone has already said this I havent read all the posts (slaps hand) I have an epson printer scanner for my complicated bits and it reads photos direct from memory cards or negatives you can then download direct to your pc and then decide which ones to print. |
