Tomorrow, just after mid-day,am picking up son, wife and 2 grandchildren here on their first time back in Uk since emigrating 6 years ago to Oz.Last saw them over 2 year ago.
I have been so busy preparing, cooking ,gardening ,buying presents for the children,as well as looking after OH as he can't do anything as on oxygen 24 hours. Also booked caravan nearby for daughter, husband, granddaughter and partner and 3 great granddaughters,so you can imagine the preparation, with 5 little ones under 8!.My OH says I've gone OTT with the food, but I know what it will be like.Haven't finished baking yet,as want to do scones etc, which I left to last.
They will be tired as will be flying from Bangkok in a few hours via Dubai,so I expect I will see 2 tired children coming through the gates.
Keeping my fingers crossed for good weather?

Thank-you girls.....Made my scones, egg custard tarts,as son always loved them, and it's the only way he eats eggs!
I made all sorts of things yesterday, and cooked a big piece of beef to eat cold.
hoping to eat out some of the time, but with OH on oxygen, don't think he'll manage every day. However we won't starve.
Keep tracing the flight to see if it is on time.
They've had 3 days in Bangkok,so wait to see what the children think.Son told them that they would have to eat things like sea horses on sticks....You can imagine the reaction to that!
Will see them tomorrow.Yipee!

Brenda, how wonderful for you and o.h. to see the family again and to have all of them together too, will be super. Of course, you want to have everything ready for them, you sound like my Mum with the cooking and such, and I am sure they will be looking forward to your specialities again. Have a super time together but don't wear yourself out, let the others help too when possible.
Look forward to hearing all about the fun you will have.
