So Kay is that sexual? Annie

Kay????

Kay???? Report 22 Jun 2008 21:46

N
Hi Annie it doesnt have to be,anything more than an ego tripper, but example,

*if someone openly flirted with you in so much as touching ,cuddle or even a friendly peck at given opertunities, would you see it as flirting,,and if you didnt want this would discourage it,..not encourage it which sends out a wrong signal,,

The time flirting becomes a danger is when flirting actions are taken home with you and you want more of them,

CMD..... You so don't know me otherwise you wouldn't think I feel guilty, cos I don't and never will!!! APOLOGY SHOWN ABOVE AS IT WASN'T CMD THAT SAID IT!!

Everyone, if you read my post and responses you'll see the MALES are my friends and have been for over 20 years..... when they were single and now they are married..... I didn't go there when they were single and I certainly wouldn't now they are married!! They are my friends end of story and their wives genuinely like me, otherwise the males wouldn't still be my mates.... and I know that for FACT!!

Maybe flirting means something sinister for some of you, but it doesn't to me..... its playful and harmless, just some minds see a single woman doing it as wrong, but when I was married, both my ex husband and I flirted with the opposite sex..... and it didn't cause any issues as we were secure in our relationship!!

So will I continue......

WITHOUT DOUBT!! Until a wife tells me to stop, I shan't let anyone change my friendships!!

xx

And before anyone says "but he's your ex-husband now!"

I had a choice of staying with him and letting his adult children abuse me or walking away........

I walked!!

"Flirting is a form of human interaction between two people, expressing a sexual and/or romantic interest. It can consist of conversation, body language, or brief physical contact. It may be one-sided or reciprocated."

Says it all, really.

Pippi

I don't object to people's opinions sweetie, honestly I don't!!

I do object to people presuming that I am doing something I feel guilty about when they haven't a clue who I am!!

I say things as I see them and CMD made a dig at me that I had to respond too!!

APOLOGY TO CMD ABOVE THIS ONE AS IT WASN'T HER THAT SAID IT!!

No Lairy he won't speak to me as I walked...... but yeah I would if he spoke to me!!

And the dictionary term of flirting is

# To make playfully romantic or sexual overtures.
# To deal playfully, triflingly, or superficially with
# To move abruptly or jerkily

So there are many definitions and its people's choice how they define it!

I suppose it depends on which dictionary you are referencing.
However, flirting usually has sexual or romantic connotations and it is wrong because it is giving out messages which may or may not be correct, depending on the individual(s) and circumstances.

PinkDiana

PinkDiana Report 22 Jun 2008 23:36

Errol - Just looked it up online in DICTIONARY.COM

Are you saying the definition is wrong or flirting is wrong?

eRRolSheep Report 22 Jun 2008 23:43

I don't think my English was too difficult to understand there.

Kay????

Kay???? Report 22 Jun 2008 23:45

Pink...

I think you got the wrong word as you are not refering to Flirting at all,,but a open friendly none threating relationship with people you knew before they were someone husband,,,and you probally know most of the wives through their courtship anyway ...so they dont see you as a threat and you treat the now husbands as playful brothers who you both care about each other without any overtones on flirting,,,
I shouldnt imagin you stand there fluttering your eyelashes or give out,,**come up and see me sometime **signals,

Strangers use flirting to their advantage,,,

PinkDiana Report 22 Jun 2008 23:46

Ooooh Errol - SARCASM my favorite form of wit!!

I'll admit to being stupid tonight then as I am still not sure whether its the definition or flirting that you think is wrong!!
