when you only have a name and birth date of a person. and you do not know if they wewre born in ireland or england how would you go about getting their birth certificate and where would you send for it. my husband does not know where his mother kathleen may hernon was born it may have been killarney or lancashire he thinks . but it may just as well have been anywhere. he also does not know the names of his grandparents i need help

We can check Lancashire if you give a year of birth

thanks claire, her date of birth was 8th nov 1904. she was married to a frederick george sherwood/shearwood who was born in salford. they married sometime before1935. if you need anything else pleas let me know gill

Not a birth registration but the marriage cert may help with the Father's name, and witnesses may also give some clues.
