It certainly would Stray, and if we could just remember that the written word can 'come across' on here so differently than a face to face conversation.

i think its a shame when a decent debate gets turned upside down
were all adults and we have all had different experiences in life
surely we can be adult enough to respct each others veiws
would be a boring world if we were all the same

AnnCardiff Report 26 Jun 2008 13:23

you're right Mau - it was a really good debate with many interesting points of view, which is always good in a debate but unfortunately it sort of got taken over didn't it

I backed out of it when someone went on the offensive in a big big way - always frightens the tripe out of me I must say - it was a fair debate until it got really really heavy - couldn't cope!! coward me!!

Thanks for the info I wondered where it had gone. When I went to bed last night it was getting to be a bit of a slanging match. Sometimes that happens though which is a shamae.

funny you should say that.............i thought the same, can't say i blame "those who must be obeyed",it was getting a bit feisty ans turning into a slanging match(my opinion)

It's a pity the national press didn't use the same discretion. I thought in this country it was innocent until proved guilty. He said himself it was trial by the media. I'm rather wary of posting an opinion on innocence/guilt.
