cant go camping anymore because I cant cope with it means am in too much pain so hubby has bought us a caravan today.
Still not got a towing hook onhis car but its in a storage place very near us so have taken over the plot from the guy we bought it off of so we dont have to get that straight away.

Tiddler and laddo are so excited can imagine what they will be like when we start taking our camping bits we can use in it over.

At least it means we can still go away with them and wont have to arguments trying to put up a tent in the wind and gales.

Welcome to the caravanning world Dawnie:))

We love ours....................hopefully we might even get away in it this year.

Make sure you have a stabiliser on it too...............or it wobbles as you drive along.

http://www.towsure.com/ is an excellent site and they are really helpful.

Dawnie, what a great time you will have - hope you get to enjoy lots of times away. We had one for a short while but o.h. wouldn't tow it so we left it at a place by the coast in Norfolk, very basic site but adequate when kids were younger. Then didn't get time to make much use of it, put it in storage but eventually sold it for £25 - it was old but had deteriorated in storage place. Sad to see it go but I couldn't tow it and o.h. wouldn't/couldn't, we had to ask his Dad each time and he already has a van, but doesn't lend it out, and he made so much fuss about doing it for us altho he is quick to ask for favours himself. Also o.h. rarely takes a Saturday off, works 6 days a week and it was no fun on the site by myself, not the sort with entertainment and a bit lonely and scary once I didn't have my dog for company.
Have a lovely time using yours.

I'm sure your family will love it Dawn.

My offer of a non-tow stay still stands though, if you want a change of scene.

Hope you have as much fun as we had over the years Caravanning.
Took my dear old Dad when he retired, and he just loved it.
Bit too old now in our 70's, but look back with such happy memories.
