I didn't see that Gillian, what was it on? Hubby was in the same boat as your son, he was Sjt when he got out and had done all the courses he could of done, without actually being in the RAMC, but none of it is worth Ja** S*** in civvy st. He went to join the Ambulance service when he'd done his 23 years service and had to do all the tests. When it came to the practical one, he'd had an abcess in his mouth and he was the last one to do the Ressusi Anne test and what happened when he was doing the mouth to mouth? The abcess burst and they told him that he had failed and he had to leave the room. He'd got 100% in all the theory and oral tests. He was gutted. he never reapplied the following year, which was what they had told him to do.
