God its a drag isnt it.
What I do is growl at them all take everything off them and shove them all in the same room.
They squabble for a few minutes then usually they start talking about how mean I am taking away whatever it is they had.
after half an hour i am the meanest mother in the world and they are the best of friends

my middle two boys would scrap like cat and dog, but in April when Luke fractured his skull in a rugby match Matty was there for him , last week when Matty cut his elbow real bad when he came off his bike it was Luke that gave excellent first aid on the scene and called an ambulance.
Despite all their fighting and squabbling they admit to feeling really awful when the other one gets hurt. I sometimes think they are twins just born 14 months apart!!!

My attitude was,,,you dont have to listen to me arguing or fighting,,,,,,so why should I have to listen to yours and I wont,

open door invite them to take it elsewhere,

Most of the fighting is for attention, negative attention works really well:)))

Aaaw mama rambo I know how you feel but she'll be back before you know it.

My 3 very occasionaly fight in lumps but I'm still upset about it & telling them off & they'll be best of friends again and wondering what I'm making a fuss about.

I did it with my sister too but if she was ever poorly or upset about something I'd have laid down my life for her.

I don't know what happened between them last week, but, Sibling relationships are a great way for kids to learn how to be with others. It's a healthy natural way to explore growing up, but I know seeing your son heading down the stairs on the end of your daughters boot can be somewhat disconcerting.

Don't worry, have a bit of a cry, miss her a bit, but enjoy the peace, and look forward to hearing all about the great time she's had when she gets back.

Best wishes,

I stopped two of my girls who used to have screaming matches with each other in one day!!!

Every time I heard a voice raised..............out the front door went the pair of them to carry on the row.

They never did..............far too embarrassing for them.

They still argued, but in quiet voices:)))

c&p from last thread below...

Come to a head yesterday they were fighting on the landing and the eldest picked up the other one by his neck and pushed him down the stairs, luckily he was on his belly and his feet hit the wall at the bend of the stairs. She wasn't even sorry or show any remorse either...

Well the eldest Sarah has gone to France with her school till Thurs she went at midnight last night.

Her brother went to bed so she went in to say bye to him and low and behold he started crying cause he didn't want her to go cause he would miss her... she had to walk out of his room as she started to fill up too.

After what happened last week hubby and I were gobsmacked at this turn of events lol.

From now on they can get on with it cause I am not gonna get involved lol

I must admit I am missing her already cause she isn't just my 12 yr old but a mate too.
