That is true Claire...never thought of that....the little gallivanter Lol ( knowing that she is tucked up in bed and can't see this )

I have to say ...she has to be one of the nicest people one could possibly know. ( don't tell her I said so though ) she has many friends who may not even speak to each other....but......she is a person to be trusted no matter what...we don't always agree, but that is life........I would highly recommend her as 'The' person on GR to be objective and one to befriend.

( sheesh!....she is going to murder me for this Lol )

Well, glad you managed to get to see it anyway. Maybe the peony has gone walk about by now though. Thanks for that tip, I will tell Tony. That peony came form my Dad's garden, when we cleared the bungalow our daughter took some roots and brought them on for us both. she also tried it with the camelia but it didn't take unfortunately, my Mum had a lovely one, red/pink.

And of course I will invite you again!!! Not if!

Ann, I didn't set out with that intention.... but the traffic was clear.... and I just though.... why not, seeing as I am so close... there is no-one living at that end of the close, it does look forlorn. There are a couple of houses occupied... and the caravan I saw in the driveway of one is still the same as when I left.... they moved in a few weeks before I moved out!

There were a few people around... I wasn't brave enough to get out of the car and have a look.... I should have though... I would have quite liked to pinch my lovely cream peony back... that still grieves me, that does... and seeing yours today made me remember it!

By the way, if you put a fork under your peony this year when it dies back, and wiggle it so that the root thingy comes up a little closer to the surface, and then add a good mulch of organic stuff... if you invite me again, and if you remind me, I'll bring you some stuff from my wormery, that is really good!! Next year it should come on a treat.... and do the same next year if it doesn't! They like to be fairly close to the surface with very rich stuff over them! Well, according to Saint Titchmarsh..

did you actually go and look at your old house? i would have come with you if I had known. at least you realised your mistake at the C&G. I wish I had a pound for every one of our visitors who have shot off in towards gloucester instead of coming this way.

and...... One night coming back very late from Birmingham airport, We drove down the Golden valley, got to the Elmbridge Court roundabout and shot off in the direction of Ross on Wye!!! With me saying "no, no, wrong exit", and we had lived here about 14 years then!!!!

wmsl!! I have a confession to make, lol.......... I got to the C&G roundabout.... and ended up going back in towards Gloucester automatically instead of towards the M4 there...... felt a right numpty! But realised my mistake in time to just go around the roundabout again.... I was quite dizzy by the time I had finished, ;¬))

But that is between me you and the gatepost... don't tell a soul, ;¬))))

wmsl Gwen..... Ann lives very near where I lived for 6 years or so..... imagine, we lived so close to each other for so long, and it is only now that I have moved home to Wales that we have got to know each other!

So I know my way around there really well...... I have been lost on every road and byway around there... I know all it's nooks and crannies, lol!

I am home, lol............ Are we chasing each other around the block? lol

I have been describing some of the ideas I have had for the rooms... we have discussed this in the past, but he wasn't so sure, but now that I have seen your garden rooms, I am going to nick a couple of ideas, lol.... I have counted... we have 5 climbing roses in the ground, but in the wrong place, and three in pots that need to go in soon. I am going to go and get some trellis next week........... I have just resurrected an old Gardner's World internet plan... some of the original ideas I had.... tweak and combine with some of the ideas I have nicked from you.... wow!! It should look good in about 3 years, lol!!
