I have midges flying about!!

Try burning a CITRONELLA candle as they don't like the smell!

If it's little black flies, I get them all the time in the summer, they hang around my kitchen window, most annoying.

I've had those tiny black flies for months. Drive me nuts. I would only ever see one at a time and one night I sat and killed 7 or 8 of the buggers. I thought maybe they were like zombies and kept coming back from the dead. Mum reckoned it was because of my house plants, but I later discovered that the little vents on my windows was open and they must have been coming in through there.

Must try those candles. We are plagued with flies and cant spray because of the aquariums, and they dont do my breathing a lot of good either. Jean

do you have houseplants McB? there are tiny flies (smaller than blackfly and midges) that lay their eggs in the compost of plants. sometimes you can see the larvae wiggling about in the compost

I've got newspaper print all over the walls from where my son's practised tennis strokes killing them-he say's his back hand is much better-wish I could say the same for the decor.
