Im so sorry things have gone like this for you Grannie, my dealings with some social workers and certain educational people have not been good ones and have had meetings in the past that still make me very upset if i think of them.

Love to you all for a good outcome, you are a star,

I have read this thread again Grannie, and had a thought....

....is it possible that the reason the education department are against him being de-registered is because they can get funding for help for him if he is registered......and if he is not they will have to find the money themselves....? x

Thank you all for your support.I have a lovely social worker and she asked for him to be deregistered,Says he does not come under the catagory of neglect anymore. The 3 people from the education department said no.He now has one to one tution and is now going to be tested for adhd. His mother can not be found and she holds the pr so as far as they are all concerned he is still at risk. Not nice for him. Annie, no one could fault the way you have improved your Grandson's life and attitude, so I hope these idiots see sense soon, and give you more support and less aggravation.
You keep up the good work, we and your Grandson know just how much you care and have worked for him.

Conference meeting today to deregister grandson after 15 months .He still poses a risk and is still on the police protection register. The whole meeting was distasteful with head of his year arguing with social worker.Three times was told to call a halt.Must say i had a lot to say as i have had enough of all do gooders. Please leave us alone to be a family.
