Hi trouble, how you doing? apart from getting fat lol

I was reading something recently about naming children, and it said that it is best to have a one syllable Christian name with a more-than-one-syllable surname, and vice versa. Also there was something about not ending the Christian name with the same sound or letter as the surname, e.g. as my o.h. is, his first name ends with 'th' and so does his surname, so quite a mouthful.

Altho not following that ruling, I like the name Kezia, or Keziah, my son was at school with a girl with that name. Another is Kerenza, which I think is Cornish.
Lily is pretty but I like names that aren't used so often.
What about Soraya which means Princess?
Farrah means good looking, or the Persian meaning is charisma, and joy.
Kalista means the most beautiful one and then there is
Karis, Charis, meaning grace and
Thalia means flowering.
The name Grace speaks for itself and is lovely too.

Stanley is good and sounds well with your names and with Spencer's name, if you know what I mean, but it means 'stony meadow' which isn't that special.

I have to get to bed now so no more boy's names but I am sure there will be lots of suggestions as time goes by.

Do you have any more family names that you like, even if a few generations ago? I like names to have nice positive meanings too.

I have a couple of fav. girls names but am keeping those to myself for when I have to persuade my son - as he is footloose and fancy free I have a while to wait I think lol

When I had my lad it took me three days to be certain of the name I chose, some I had listed didn't suit him at all when he was born.

I bet that will be the same for you, you will take one look and just know which name is right. Has Spencer come up with some good suggestions lol Is he excited?

Lots of luck, Hayley, stay well and hope we see you again on here soon,
love
Lizxx
