UPDATE ON MY AUNT

Animal Lover Report 21 Jul 2008 20:55

As I posted, my Aunt of 83 was run over last week and taken to hospital. Well, she's still in there. She's not eating and looks and feels very poorly. Everytime they try to get her out of bed her blood pressure drops and she has black outs. They've tested all her major organs and can find nothing wrong, so they're going to do the heart tests again, as they think she may need a pacemaker - they just can't get to the bottom of what's wrong. I know she's got a broken shoulder and is badly bruised because of the accident, but before that idiot knocked her down she was fine. What I'd like to do to him ,,, Please remember her in your prayers and offer her positive thoughts,

Many thanks.

AL

I know the shock of such accidents affects older folk more severely AL...... I do hope they can find what is stopping her from regaining her strength......x sally

Thanks all. The family all think it's a shock thing, as she was fit and healthy before the accident, but doctors seem to think it's something else - just don't know what. She looks such a poor thing lying in her hospital bed - her arms are completly black from the bruising (and apparently her bottom and lower back are the same). I know she's in a lot of pain when she moves, but it just seems like she's giving up. AL

Hio AL,

Such an awful thing to happen to some of her age when well being is so important.

I hope you can encourage her to look at the 'brighter' side of things and she can see new joy in life. Like others have said the shock can literally knock the 'get up and go' out of people.

Did they catch the driver?

Sending her lots of 'Get well' wishes and positive thought.

love Theresa

So sorry your Aunt isn't responding to treatment as well as would be hoped. Have they used arnica on her bruising as it would bring it out quicker and ease it a bit? Hope you can find some way of getting her interested in life again soon.
