Are there any sites where it tells you both parties of the marriage, i have not found one if there is and it would help me loads if someone could name one so i could see who married who. thanks

well I purchased copies of the local parish records from the 1700's and they do give the names of both parties

FreeBMD lists the possible spouses - with a bit of rummaging in censuses you can sometimes work out which one he/she married.
