Shocked at increases

I saw the price increases on here, and the Gold m/ship is £34 .. fr 6 months!! bt of a rip off I think.
I have however been a member since the start, began paying £7.50 then it gradually increased to £9.95,I am defiately NOT going to pay any more than that now.
GR must be rolling in it!

They give the impression that you can use BMD etcetc but if you try you will find that these are charged for separately, so why such a big increase,
is the goldm/ship now going to pay for access to BMDs etc etc?
I also pay sept charges for Ancestry anyway
which is great value considering everything you have access to,I use it nearly every day, so does my son, so we get full value for our money
I have really kept,
m/ship going on here mainly for the hope that some day, someone connected closely will eventually come along
Usually when the TV progamm WDYTYA is on TV more peopleseem to join, so I keep hoping...One day.. Especially that I might find a clue to my elusive gt grandmother Mary Hannah Grant nee Copeland, b 1850 Derby...she obviously adopted a new surname after 1881 and I just cannot trace her...anyone??? I saw on someones fam tree that she had died in 1919, but the author knew nothing about her! why then have they included her? on
Roads of Buckingham. Apparently this person "lifts" names from other people`s trees!

I think it all depends on your 'contract' with them when you joined. Up until the change of ownership or thereabouts the membership was yearly, you joined, paid 12 months subs each year. then they changed it so new people paid the same amount for 6 months, so they joined under a different contract (that is how I see it). If an older member (a 12 month member) leaves and rejoins or is over so many weeks renewing, they then go onto a new 6 monthly contract.

If you tick the continuous membership box so they can just take your subs then the agreement used to be that you paid the same as you had always paid.

I paid £7.50 for 12 months subscription in April.

Just renewed yesterday,£9-95 for 12 months,, i am on continuous membership, if you do not signify continuous membership in your account details, or you leave then come back you will be charged for just 6 months at £9-95, but this may only apply to those who have always had the 12 month fee and not the 6 month one

That is a lot Julia.
I paid £7.50 in November fo another year.
Why do some people pay for only 6 months, I wonder?

Gas.... Electric .... Petrol.... and GR?
We are going to paying through the nose for everything now.

Those who were previously on the annual payment of whatever, did you query the six months with GR? Two years running I have queried it and got the full year. If you are on continuous and have never had a break you should get the full year I think. If you started on the six monthly payments you will always be six monthly.

Deanna - Yes, I paid £9.95 last week, for six months. Always round the P.O. up to £10, as the costs incurred, works out cheaper.
