Hi Folks

I have recently located a remote family member whose forebears had emigrated to the USA, and we are now in email contact.

I have just learned that the fellow is an active member of the church of The Latter Day Saints, and he is keen to know more about his family connections in England.

I could give him information I have researched that that goes back to 1680, but my question is:

Will he want to 'seal' these names as new members of his church?

Has anyone here had experience in this area?

Someone wrote about this a few months ago & said that her family had all been "sealed" by her LDS contact

Many thanks Claire - I'll go through the replies.

I did try to find anything in the archives on this topic, but drew a blank for some reason....

Hmmmm, I had the same thing. I did give her the info but I stated that under no circumstances was she to "seal" them - don't know whether she kept to that or not though. I don't mind about the dead rellies particularly but just don't want the living ones being baptised into their faith.
