The mark of a civilised and educated man, as any public school boy will tell you is, the ability to discuss a given subject without
becoming abusive, or showing anger etc;Its bad form old boy'
So for the record, evolution doesnt bother me ,has no effect upon
my faith, could debate it amicabley for hours.
I have nothing against any class, Gentry, middle, or working.
I are at home with any or all kinds of people. I fail to see how
some can judge me when they know nothing of my back ground.
Kipplings if about sums me up,people have told me.
so fare ye well

Dear colin....
Did you just whoosh your last thread?
I was not abusive....
who has judged you?

I wasn't judging you Colin but I think perhaps that comment was aimed at me.
I've not seen the boards since earlier when I added a response to your last thread and it has now gone so I don't know if anyone came after.

I was simply pointing out a few things I felt needed saying. Sorry if it upset you.

Right........back to work. I'm engraving a commission for a church so not entirely without possible salvation perhaps!

Colin, anyone who claims the right to judge you also claims to be better than you .
Until they can prove that,..... their argument is already a lost cause..
Your posts are always open for debate ..if other people respond with disaggreement you are always polite and allow them their point of view while putting yours without any offence implied.
Please don,t stop putting up your threads .

Dearest Colin.....
If you put your threads up with question marks....and ask people what they think...then they will write what they think.....
Its not always going to be in agreement with what you perhaps hoped for.......some will agree, and some will not.....
Why ask for a debate or opinions about something...if you then.... take offence....?
without malice..

Simpley put dear people i see it this way, its not
always what is said on the boards, but never mind
i took no offence and i dont care much what people say, so long as they are open and honest.
Lets face it, if i said how wonderfull science,
what fine people middle England and so forth, no
one would reply, they'd all agree. So get a board
up and going, i have to be controversial. But
it should be fun for every one, bit o sarc; if you
like. But not too serious--Some five or six years
ago, on the good old board,we used to have a lot
of fun, any one remember the good old days.

Dearest colin,
I have been a member since .Feb 2003

I have seen and heard all sorts of debates and arguements......
...
with respect, and I have seen alot of your threads, you do make it sound sometimes as if all science is bad..... I am sure you dont mean too.. as I know that someone like yourself, who has studied the bible, also knows that science has also comfirmed alot of historical and geographical biblical facts and writings ...
I also know that nothing ,and no one will convince me ( or you ) that there is no God....just as I cannot convince some people there is one....
please carry on with your threads and posts.
agape...

CMD has it Colin ... your threads invite all of us to enter into debate . OK , sometimes your opinions are not what others expect or would voice themselves on a thread but for every point of view you have there will always be another oposite .
Its what keeps these boards going and makes them interesting.

If a debate meant everyone coming onto the thread and agreeing with the poster's opinion then it wouldn't be a true debate.

It does us all good to see a variety of views and I always think that sometimes it takes an opinion we disagree with to make us clarify in our own minds what our own thoughts are.

Keep stirring Colin but don't be surprised if some of us respond with quite heated opinions of our own. I'd defend fiercely anyone's right to believe whatever they like.......but it doesn't mean I have to agree with them.
