The Chinese rower Zhang Liang was disqualified in the men’s double sculls event after he failed to show up for his men’s single sculls race Saturday. The double sculls event, in which Zhang was supposed to row with his teammate Su Hui, was held later in the day. The race went off without them.

I want to know what happend to Nicole Cooke on that last bend.

Why did she drop back?....Im thinking her shoe cleat came out of the pedal.

I think this annoyed her and gave her an adrenaline rush to win it.

it was so emotional,and what handsome lads....good role models!

Did anyone ever hear about that poor wee Chinese girl who ended up in the Storm Drain during that very wet cycle race??
Poor soul she looked as if she had really hurt herself, but we heard no more.
I'm off now... used all my strength in that last swimming race when I helped *our little blond girl * win again. ;-0)
Bless her, she looked so happy, and her mum was crying... why do we do that?

refreshing Deanna ;O)....and the cycle races are good too.......for all the negative comments re China Olympics we have to give enormous credit to all these athletes for their dedication....we should feel proud!
