what will happen next week? they made the right decision tonight, but next week is going to be tough cos they are all excellent - I have been rooting for Austin and Erin since day 1 but now feel Rachel and Vincent may beat them to it - glad I'm not a judge

It was difficult to judge because of the different style of dancing but I guessed the judges would save Rachel. I think they made the right decision. Going to be hard next week though, all the good ones left now.

I think that was a foregone conclusion tonight, don't you? Rachel and Vincent were the better dancers in the dance off.

Just to let you know, I won't be on for the next 2 Saturdays, tomorrow is my youngest's 21st birthday and we are having a party for her next Saturday. And the following week is my work's Xmas do, so I'll be out dancing myself. Will catch up with you all on the Sundays though.

Well I got the final 2 right.
What do you think about them doing the 2 different type of dances? I think that they should be doing one or the other, you can't compare the 2 routines equally.

AnnCardiff Report 30 Nov 2008 12:04

Agree - Rachel and Vincent are excellent, but with Christine, she may stay simply because she appears to have the whole of Ireland behind her!!!!

I really liked Austin's paso doble. It really depicted the matador and the bull and the music was more authentic.
Much as I like Christine,I think she should go.
Rachel and Vincent are very good and are a well matched couple.
It is anyones guess who will be the winner.

Poor old Christine, the black dress did nothing for her. She is so bubbley, and they dressed her like Morticia in the Munsters.

Thought Vincent did a silly thing with the cape, he knows Len does not like it. Also all the fuffing about with Austin in the beginning of the Paso

I did not think much of Lisa's Cha Cha either.

Poor old Tom was suffering from a cold, and he must have found is so difficult training.

See John is at the Theatre Royal ,Winchester.
January 28th 'An Audiance with John Sargeant'. Cunning old B, what a lot of free publicity he had on Strictly.

Much as I like Christine I think that she is outclassed by the others. She must be finding it increasingly difficult to raise her game.
Full marks, Christine for learning to dance, improving so much and getting this far. I think though that it should be time for you to go.

My favourites now are Austin and Erin, followed by Rachel and Vincent.
So for me the worst case scenario would be those two couples in the dance off.

Will be watching the Sunday evening offering.

Helen1959 Report 29 Nov 2008 22:32

well I've just watched the highlights and to be honest, I thought all the routines were good tonight, considering that all the celebs had to learn and remember 2 routines, but I think that the dance off will be between Rachel and Christina. If that is the case then I think the judges will go and save Rachel, due to the fact that she has been the more consistant of the 2 of them.

Hiya folks,
Only saw the end of Austin & Erin's - Paso Doble and all of Tom and Camila's Samba, so can't really comment on the whole show, will have a look at the routines of the puter shortly.
i hope everyone is ok and not too cold.

I think they are all at such a similar stage now that it is getting very difficult. I enjoyed rachel and Lisa's first dances, didn't think christine was that good and the rest of the dances difficult to choose between them. anybody's guess tonight, depends who the public like, not how ell they thought they danced so who knows.

Hallooooo!! Where are you all ? Was the show so good tonight you've all been rendered speechless !!
I'm dying to know what you all thought.

Margaret Report 29 Nov 2008 19:41

Well things are hotting up arn't they. Quite an interesting night. I see Rachel is in the dreaded 'middle of the leaderboard' spot and will need her supporters in droves, Christine looks in a perilous position but her supporters could easily bail her out again, I enjoyed Austen's paso although I agree with Len to a degree that the first part asked nothing of him other than strutting about but he did get into the spirit of the dance and brought it alive, Tom, although he isn't my favourite by a long way, disappointed me a little with his samba - somehow I thought he would be better at it than he was and unfortunately Lisa's cha cha cha did nothing for me although it got great comments from the judges. I think any one of them could go tonight depending on how their supporters turn out and pick up that phone. I've done my bit and placed my favourite 5 votes. Hope you all enjoyed the show.

Hi Tess - yes I did see John Bighead Barrowman and wished he was fitted with an on/off switch. I could have got rid of him then !! Perhaps he thinks he can do better than both the lads - I think not, I remember him being on Dancing on Ice and he went out quite early !!

AnninGlos

I think tonights results all depends on the stamina of the contestants as they face doing two dances. At the moment it looks like it is anybody's

Hi MM did you see John (moaner) Barryman on Takes Two last night?
He ran down both the guys.

Aleisha looked quite peeved with him!

Just read an article in the Daily Mail indicating that Karen Hardy may quit Strictly and seems to suggest it is because of Gary Rhodes !! Anyway it also covers some of Karens life and apparently she has had cancer and is in remission. If you want to read it, this is the link

Am looking forward as usual to tonight's show and am sitting here wondering who will go out. I have mixed feelings - Christine seems to be the weakest but has a massive fan-base, Lisa has been in the dance-off twice but is highly rated by the judges, Rachel has hit a high the past two weeks but that can't last forever and she unfortunately has not faired well with the judges until recently, whereas the two guys seem to sit well with all three judges. Very very hard to decide. Will be back later to see what everyone thinks of the show tonight.

Looking forward to seeing Saturday nights offering.

I have no idea who will go this week, although Christine may be the weakest of the dancers, she seems to have the popular vote. And after all she isn't too bad really.

I hope no one cracks under the strain of learning and performing two dances.

Looking forward to seeing all the dresses too, they always look stunning,

Tess
