This is the worst site I have ever come across, and sooooo slow! Not worth paying for in my opinion. |

I'm just off to bed, and thought I'd let you know the screen is much better at night with the curtains closed and the light on. also I've now increased the print size so am no longer constantly being reminded that I should be doing the housework! |

I too, have varifocals and find that although only been on here a short time am squinting to read the page - not good at all. Everything to one side the cellit ad jumping around - at the moment very doubtful if I shall renew in January. |

I have also sent a message to GR as I am finding it difficult to read the print and have a headache with it. |

I've got difficulty reading also, too much similar colour my eyes are watering from strain trying to read. The flashing ads drive me crazy. If I try to copy onto a B&W printer the letters are very faint, need to be dark for copying and faxing. letters are too small, colour is too similar, each posting seems to run into the next one, not spaced well enough or the heading isn't well enough defined. I wear tri-focals and usually manage well on the computer or with written work. This is upsetting, I'm wishing my sub didn't have 13 months to go, won't use this much. I'm concerned also for some people, for whom some of the threads are a lifeline, if they aren't clear and easy to read will that thread be cut from their regular use? |

Family tree not so bad......but the rest reminds me of the benefit forms.....have now put main light out...desk lamp on slightly better....still don't like the decor very drab and uninviting...not the place to spend any length of time no more...soooooooo sad.....shame members can't brighten it up a bit...after all said 'n' done it is us who make this site what it is !!!!???? |

I will also miss GR. I am due for renewal soon and will renew but for just one more year to give me time to find a better site. I do have a tree on my heritage. I dont think it has the message boards though and doesnt provide hot matches. People have to actively search and send a message to the tree owner. Perhaps that is an advantage. |

I sent an e-mail to contactsabout the changes. The reply was that there is no way to go back to the old site and the changes are here to stay. Does anyone know of a site where we can all keep in contact? I shall miss you all like crazy, but my eyes are watering after 10 mins of this, and cannot imagine I will be here often. Never managed to get Gedcom to save to my computer. Will have to spend time trying to copy my tree to save the work. |

I'm finding it a nightmare too. Acres of empty blue-green space and the text boxes are so small you can't look at more than a couple of lines at a time. If you've more than 3 or 4 siblings in a generation you're endlessly scrolling from side to side until your eyes cross. |

I hate the new layout. I am trying to read everyones posting with aHORRIBLE whizzing advert for transport direct info distracting me. It makes me feel sick and unsettled. |

This new design is madness, it's design for designs sake, why on earth couldn't they leave it as it was, clean pages, clear text, directions that work, and no false trails. |

This New change on this site makes people ill. GR won't do anything about it, and if you contact them with your view, they just send a prewritten copout reply. |

To all recent additions of finding problems with the new site. There are a few ways of changing the colour & text set up. The most popular suggested by SueM is to download & install firefox on your desk top, with this the only site attached to it. |
