Mo in Kent Report 8 Aug 2013 16:38

Shelly, I shall wait with baited breath for the photo's matey, I know what a busy bee you are.
I hope you take photo's of the wall when it's done, it sounds like it's going to look great.
My son bought some lovely garden furniture, in a sale. They got a fantastic garden swing for just £20.00 as well, and little Lilly loves it but she wants me sitting with her on it all the time, crafty monkey, she knows that Nanny will swing it back and forth for as long as she is content.

Marilyn, sorry to hear you have not been feeling good on the new meds. It's surprising how down they can make you feel, even though they are supposed to make you feel better, it's crazy isn't it.
We do miss our Rita don't we, it's like we have lost the main stay of the thread, she kept us going when things got slow on here didn't she.

BBQ chicken and chips for dinner tonight, yummy, I am starvin so I guess I had better go and start it.
Bye for now all. love Mo

Hi Everyone....

I've been a bit off colour the last few days !!! I'm sure its my medication, these doctors seem to want to try what they think comes into their head .....for their benefit
I'm trying to cut back on doses as my doctor upped my meds double to what I was on ...and I didn't even complain that I was feeling different ....I'm falling asleep all the time, I cant be doing with that !!...

Anyway I feel better today more alert and feeling myself, so I'm off into the town for some retail therapy....LOL

Hi to Mo, Nolls & Yvonne & Huia I wonder where Linda went ? I have realized how much Rita meant to us all ......RIP .

Hi all,
Noreen, we have had the rain here as well, and what a blessing it has been. It's cooled down to a lovely temperature now.
I am sure I am going to get teeth like a rabbit soon, we have had salad so many times over the last couple of weeks, it was a special delight to have chicken and chips for dinner tonight. Now, I do like salad, every one with different meats or fish, but hey, enoughs enough, but I dont like the idea of having to start what I call proper cooking again.
I may even have a nice roast dinner tomorrow, but then again, maybe I wont. lol

Glad you had a lovely break away Shelly. I bet little legs enjoyed himself bless him.
Did you take loads of photo's? I would love to see them if you did purleeze.

Marilyn, a friend of ours has puppies that she trains for the blind. We often see her in our local precinct walking them, and training them at lights etc, and to being around people. It's wonderful to see them, but people dont understand and want to stand and stroke them.

Must go now peeps, take care. Mo

Evening All
Oh Marilyn that roast dinner sounds good funny how a lot of our sons seem to be great cooks all my boys (5) are wonderful cooks, I like to think they take after me .. alas cant really take the credit plain meals OK! but nothing fancy daughter is a bit like that and as for my DIL's ...well what can I say 2 are not bad but the other 3 haha they know which side their bread is buttered and never cook a meal!! Talking of meals we had a nice Chinesey? chicken on Sun oh just a sauce over some chicken but nice and a son and daur came up for a meal. Daur started her meal after us so as a result we had finished before her and (we don't stand on ceremony here and just get up when finished and take dishes to sink (No dish washer) anyway daur had a phone call so had to go and answer it now John had lifted his plate to go to sink but got talking to son and laid plate down then after few moments lifted it and emptied bones etc into bin daur came back to table to find a finished plate of bones left on the table .......well I guess you know the rest? :-D :-D Oh my life is hard :-S
Glad you enjoyed yourself Shelly but nice to be back in your own bed?? Mo and Yvonne hope your both OK is it raining where you both are it's pouring cats and dogs here but never see the grass so green but badly needing cut ... am off now G'Night to all Be Good Sleep Well

Hi All,

Oh just had a delicious roast Lamb dinner at my sons......he cooked it !! he's so clever and adds all-sorts of things to his cooking for flavour ... :-D

They have a Police Puppy for a year ,and he's adorable only 8 weeks old.
Apparently instead of just taking any puppy for training the Police now breed from their own Police dogs because of their genes.......You just help look after them until they reach 1 year then hand them back to the Police training school, all vet bills & food are paid for, your just look after them and go to a meeting every 2 weeks for assessment of the dog.His name is" ARRY " as all this litter was named with A as its been the first lot to be bred from Police dogs..

I think by Christmas he'll have the Christmas tree down as he's into EVERYTHING !!!! not obedient YET !! LOL

Its been raining ALL day today......horrible weather :-S

Nolls & Mo ....Pete s had cataracts done with lenses in both eyes.......and don't wear glasses anymore, he was like a lamb having it done .....but boy he does like telling EVERYONE have brave he was ....LOL

going to get ready to watch BB now.... :-D

Now thanks for that Mo would never have thought of it John's gone off already to put glasses away !!. I'm like you use foil all the time line everything with it (to save washing up) baking / cooking / you name it I use it lol! In fact just did a Chinese chicken for lunch with some of family up had a look at the tray afterwards and thought "Thank goodness don't have to wash that" and popped it in the bin I'm lazy too Mo haha!
Well the rain seems to be settling in asked John to cut the grass earlier as it was going to rain?? guess what golf took over and that was that wouldn't mind but we put some stuff on to kill off clover and feed it Ha! well clover still there and it is about double the hight it should be. We have a funny bit in the middle of the grass when we got the new windows in recently they laid the very large old pane of glass on the grass and being a very hot day it has killed off a big square of it .. oh it does look nice all the neighbours keep looking at it wondering what we have been up to haha. Our lovely big g/son was up yesterday and he is coming up tomorrow to mend a dripping tap for us (he's a plumber) isn't it nice to have someone useful in the family :-)

Mo in Kent Report 3 Aug 2013 16:53

Noreen, make sure that John takes sun glasses with him when he has his eyes done, even if it is a winters day.
When they put the drops in his eyes, to dilate the pupils, and the anaesthetic drops in, he will find the daylight is glaring.
Aaah the good old corner shops seem to carry lots of things the big supermarkets dont bother with, and we always need.
Our corner shop buys me foil in bulk, and only charges me £10.00 for a full box, whereas separately it's over a pound a box, and there are 12 to a box.
I am the foil queen round here, and use it for so many things. I suppose I am lazy really, as it saves on the washing up. lol :-D :-D :-D
Chinese take away for dinner tonight, so I am going to dish it up now, Bye for now. Mo

Hi Mo no John not had any cataracts removed yet will have to get other one done afterwards oh I will be so glad when it's done he goes right up to TV screen and just stands there ...Move! ... I'm nasty I am :-(
Not done much today went to our co-op said to OH lets go to Morrisons but it too hot so went local but of course not got everything making a cheese cake tomorrow for Sun. and needed Carna**on condensed milk but hey a wee tiny corner shoppe had it so bought 3 tins just in case and they even had bread crumbs which is almost impossible to find can get some in supermarkets but now they are the fresh ones but want to keep them so orange ones will do. then came home and I did some of my son's books for his business ...Good Old Mum :-P ... then sat out for a bit again too warm and that's it what a boring day Hope you all had a nice
enjoyable day . Oh did buy a tiny wee pair of pants and top in pink for the baby due in Nov. it's cute all pink hope the parents like it and really must get on with finishing a pink quilt started it ages ago but still got quite a bit to go :-)

Mo in Kent Report 1 Aug 2013 22:02

Oh Noreen, I really laughed my head off, when I read about your OH's error.
Has your OH had cataract surgery before? My Roly has had both his eyes done, and has had one re lazered as he got a film over the eye. He said there was nothing to it.
On Tuesday, I have got to go for oral surgery. When I had a crown fitted, years ago, they did not do root canal treatment, or take the nerves out, so, I have got to have my gum cut, and the whole lot done again.
About two years ago, I got an infection in it, and had to have anti-biotics to clear it up.
It happened again a few months back, and I have been waiting ever since to get it sorted. Not looking forwards to it though I must say. But don't want another infection, oh no thanks.
Be good everyone. Hugs Mo

Oh! Dear Hope everyone is surviving the heat 9pm and it is still hot hot hot Roll on Winter lol!
Well got OH to hosp today and he is getting his cataract done in Nov. a good bit away but at least he is getting it sorted thank goodness .
Marilyn and Mo ..No no date on the vouchers and was told they could be used anytime might go back again but to be honest there didn't seem to be anyone in charge to really ask. ..But on the same sort of topic , well you've really got to laugh, ..... OH goes off to York 2/3 times a month he usually goes by bus and there are a couple of different bus comps. running there and one comp has a card which you get stamped every journey and after 20 stamps you get an M&S voucher (that dreaded word ) well first time round he had about 8 stamps and lost it! so started again, his card now has 16 stamps and he was getting really excited , what would he buy (what indeed silly old so and so what do you get for a fiver lol) anyway he's a true Scot so anything for nothing , well my goodness it makes his day! :-D ....... Can you picture his face when he came home to tell me the sad news oh dear I can't write this down it is so tragic :-0 ....................................HAHAHA ! It finished in June ........... OK he's been going in car last month so didn't know oops!
Hi Yvonne and Shelly where are you still sunbathing?
I'm off Be Good Be Happy and Enjoy the Sun while it lasts. :-)

Mo in Kent Report 31 Jul 2013 13:20

Hi there,
Yes Marilyn, I am still watching BB, for my sins. I have no idea why Gina is so popular, and as far as Dexter is concerened, yuk what a creepy young man he is.
I know that Callum is hard to understand with his mood swings, but give me him any day.
To be honest Maz, I couldn't care less who wins or loses this time round, as nobody is standing out as really special.
I know that Shelly wants Sophie to win, but thats only coz she is an Essex girl like Shelly and myself, but she is only just starting to wake up and smell the coffee.
I did like it when Sam told Dexter a few home truths last night, but even he seemed to back down after a while.
I think either the twins (twits united) or Hazel should go this week. The twins really get on my nerves with their bickering at each other, and Hazel can get back to her modelling career coz thats where she belongs.
Sorry everyone, thats got that off my chest for now.
I firmly believe that gift vouchers should be accepted, regardless as to how out of date they may appear to be, as they have been paid for initially by someone, either yourself. or given as a gift. And if they are paid for, the business then simply owes you goods to the value of the vouchers.
If they are money off vouchers, then nine out of ten times, they will have a use by date. Or am I badly mistaken in my thoughts.

Oooh Yvonne, good luck to you, if you want to go up the Shard. Better you than me love.
I just dont do heights at all. I get dizzy if I fall of me chair.
It looks like I am the lucky one round here, Roly and I have had seperate bedrooms for years now, and at times when we have had to share a room, neither of us get hardly any sleep at all.
Roly is up in the bathroom at least four times a night, and then gets back into his slumber ,snoring his head off again. :-( :-( :-(
Actually he is very lucky to still be breathing, after my lack of sleep in the past. Especially when I was going through the change, oooh I could have crushed a grape for any reason back then, thank goodness that is over and done with now.

I hope Noreen has not had any more mishaps over the last couple of days. lol
Bye for now folks, Mo

Oh my Nolls ....stay indoors for a few weeks !!! ;-) you'll need to get over your last saga in peace.....Did those vouchers have a out of date on them ? if they didn't I would have fought tooth & nail and got them to exchange them.
What a coincident though I found some Harlf@rds vouchers that Pete.s mother gave Pete for his birthday years ago....now I'm not telling lies but they were over 20yrs old and NO DATE on them .... I had already took them into my local Half@rds to ask if they were still valid and the assistant said yes looks they are,but we didn't want to purchase anything that day .
Well this week there was an offer on car OIL so instead of going to the local one we went to a larger Half@rds .......Guess what ? ...got to the till assistant said cant take those ,they must be old we have a different type of Voucher looks nothing like this one !!!!!!!
So I asked to call the Manager and explained that your other shop would have accepted them why not here .......no date on them and yes I do agree they are old, ....So they were accepted £15 worth and Pete was well chuffed with his Oil !!!!

Well Guys & Dolls ....its a bit gloomy here today ,but got a feeling that it will brighten up a bit later .

Yvonne..........I have got used to Pete in the other bedroom ,I sleep like a LOG !! :-D
But last night he said I might be coming back soon as it was chilly last night ......Oh no I said leave it a bit longer ....LOL

Mo are you still watching BB ?

Oh! Noreen, what a day you have had love. I hope that you can get some PEACE tonight, and that any storms stay away, so that you can either watch tv, or get on with your research in calm surroundings.
What a pity about the theatre tickets, and fancy him indoors retreating and leaving you to face them....men are such cowards when they think they are going to be embarrassed by us wives. lol :-D, now would we do that on purpose, course we wouldn't would we...(not arf)
I believe I have got more intolerent as I have got older. And think it's because at long last I know how to stick up for myself, without feeling belittled by others.
I used to be such a quiet little mouse, and wouldn't say boo to a goose, but not any longer. I don't suffer fools lightly, and find it hard to keep my mouth shut, when perhaps I should do at times. :-) :-) :-)
Bye for now, speak to you tomorrow, Mo

OH! What a day and it's only 3.20 . Started off well yesterday found some theatre voucher worth £34 in drawer got them about 3yrs ago just before OH had his heart attack then forgot about them for a bit did ask if they would be usable about a year later and was told they didn't run out. Ok good! then lost the things .So decided to phone today and check on tickets that they were OK .. all auto lines no one to ask (No1 annoyance)... SO we decided to go to town this morning to book something ....Lovely day warm and sunny got to bus stop ..Now they have changed buses from today only every half hr and going a different route so arrived at 11.20 for half hr bus quarter two no bus (no 2 annoyance ) so went home .... Ah son arrives so gives us a lift to town, gets to theatre...!Oh we stopped issuing these about 2yrs ago we don't take them try Leeds/Bradford" (they were bought here:-|) so can't use them wanted to see Phantom of the Opera (youth ) ugh! got a wee bit annoyed and told them so (can you believe OH walks out on me he's embarrassed ....Men!) no. 3 annoyance :-|
go to B**ts to shop beautiful day as we go in .. come out thunder/lightening and the heaviest downpour for ages I had on flimsy top got absolutely soaked had to go on to get bus other wise another half hr wait (no 4 annoyance) Even when we stood in bus station the rain was pouring in anyway bus came we decided we would get off bus at Co-op and get bits and bobs bus stops outside so OK can you believe it it turned off before it got to Co-op nowhere near it .. now means I need the car to go shopping (no 5 annoyance) ...doing well here :-D Got home to find neighbours cat had come in window eaten all our cat food and was scratching at chair (no 6 annoyance??) Well I'm going to have a nice cuppa watch some TV (was going to go on a thread here but thought Oh no you will say the wrong thing so opted out...for now :-D) Sorry I'm a right old moan who put a thread up asking if we had got more mellow as you got older haha I had the cheek to say yes!!
