Morning everyone
Huia it is quiet on here. I haven't been doing much of interest so have been reading but not posting.
Hope the friends who have been unwell are getting better. Marilyn are you back home yet I sure hope so as you have been in hospital too long.
Stephen is your computer still sick? You must be going away soon. Enjoy yourselves when you get there.

Well the bathroom guys are off for the weekend, at least not here but up to their necks in emergencies I guess. Shower is in , flooring down, ceiling and lights installed Tiling all but finished a little grouting to do, the cabinets for the loo and sink are half built, with a lovely heated towel rail to complete the look !! So it looks almost there just bits to tidy up and pull it all together. Long job and thank goodness we have an en-suite, couldn't have coped without it.

Weather was bright down here yesterday. Cold overnight, bit cloudy this morning. Birds are feeding like mad, guess they are nesting though it still feels too cold.

Linda, your brother has done extremely well being back at work this quickly, even though it is only part time.
My brother was off work for a whole year following his operation.

Shelly, was that you I saw whipping round the supermarket earlier, if it wasn't you, it was your double, she was going hell for leather, running up and down the aisle, tossing things into her trolley as she went.
I know you are going to the gym, but for crying out loud girl, don't over do it.

Hoping Jean and Marilyn are on the mend.
too much happening here at the moment. Bathroom still being done thank goodness we have an en-suite.
Off to my brothers over Easter for a thank you meal , celebrating as he went back to part-time working last week . We are very lucky.
The plumber's father in law had a by-pass op yesterday, so his family are going through hell too. Definitely can empathise.

Busy Busy Busy Huia, you have a life so full of things to do, and places to go, I envy you love.
It's far to cold here, to go out for a walk. It's bad enough when we have to go shopping, I wear so many layers of clothes to keep warm, that I can hardly walk at the best of times. :-( :-( :-(
Thats why I am hoping that we do get a bit of a summer this year, rather than just a couple of days of sunshine.
I am of to my bed now, so goodnight god bless. Mo

Hello Mo. I am still looking in at my threads, but not adding much in the mornings as I have so much to do. The doc told me to walk in the sunshine for 30 mins each morning. Add another 30 mins for putting on my boots, locking up the house, getting out the wagon and driving to a different spot each day, then after the walk doing it all in reverse. Today I want to do a little shopping before I go to work in the shop at 12.30, so if I have my 30 min walk first I will have to get a wriggle on.

Helloooo where is everyone. Stephen must still be having problems with his puter, I miss his morning jokes.

I hope you are all well, and that Jeni and Marilyn are both on the mend.

Hello friends, hope everyone is ok and not suffering too much with this weather. looks like a white Easter for most of us.
I do hope that Marilyn is making a good recovery, sounds like her holiday didn't do her any good.
Sorry I have not been on recently, cant get myself motivated, must be my age.
I feel very sorry for all the people without power at the moment, how on earth will they be coping with trying to keep warm and prepare meals.

I was up nice and early Shelly, in fact the flippin birds woke me up, trying to break the ice on the bird bath. ;-) ;-) ;-)
Cor it's blessed cold out today. We popped up to town for me to get some more books,just in case we get snowed in...I can't be without a good read.

It's very quiet on here lately, has everyone hybernated.

No Stephen, Marilyn or Jeniwren. I hope they are all o.k.

If I remember last time Marilyn went away, she was unwell then. But whatever it is thats wrong with her this time, has really knocked the stuffing out of her.

By the way Pauline, how are you doing now love?, Have they managed to sort out your back problems?

Jenowren has been in contact today, and she is bearing up. Her doctor popped in to see her, to give her some new medication for her diabetes.

Not long now Yvonne, till we will meet up again. It's only two weeks away now, but when it was first suggested it seemed ages away. lol
Like you, we had a few snow flakes this morning, but nothing settling thank goodness.

Still no news from Stephen. I wonder if he is away with Mrs Stephen,I can recall him saying about the surprise trip he has arranged for her, but I am not sure when it was arranged for them to go.

We had snow during the night and it's snowing now but not settling much

The vet came to look at the horse again this week, she is still lame but the vet says she can go out in the field for a couple of hours a day but I think I'll wait till the snow has gone.

Hi all.

I've spoken to Marilyn's husband and he told me Marilyn is still in hospital. I'm afraid she isn't responding to the antibiotics as well as she should have been.

The doctors think it may be something tropical so they have to harvest it to find out what it is and then get the right antibiotic to treat it. Pete said it may take a week or more to find the right antibiotic. Marilyn is feeling weak and shaky at the moment but she's in the best place and is being looked after.

I hope Marilyn has a speedy recovery once she starts the right treatment.

Huia, yes I saw your fantastic photo on FB. Your hair certainly has grown since you had it shaved.
Phil doesn't seem to change facially does he love.

Linda, I hope the wedding went of well, and that you all didn't get to wet.
It's such a pity when it rains on your wedding day, it puts a bit of a downer on the celebrations, but the ceremony is still lovely and that can't be changed or rained on.

Has anyone heard how Marilyn is at the moment?
Hope fully I will hear from Jeniwren tonight, but if I dont I will get in contact with her, to check that she is still on the mend.
