18 months after I first contacted my second cousin in Canada (first contact between the two branches of the family for 50 years) I have today received a big padded envelope full of copies of certificates and family photos going back to the 1920s. He's also completed the family tree I sent him.

It's stuff like this that makes family history worthwhile.

Just wish Royal Mail hadn't lost the envelope, which was originally sent recorded delivery and needed a signature, otherwise I would have had this on Friday, but I'm happy now!
