Thank you for your cards Jean and Sallie, they arrived in this mornings post.

Cor whats the weather like where you are, it's blessed well cold and wet here, not nice at all. Earlier we had to put the table lamp on, as it came over so dark, it was as if it was evening time already, and it was only lunch time.

Not much news to tell you of, but I just wanted to thank you for the cards, and to let you know we are both keeping our peckers up, despite everything.

Take care all. hugs Mo xxx

Oh Jean, that is so painful, not done it for a while but I am prone to pulling muscles. You probably tried to move awkwardly when you were cold and your muscles not warmed up. Have you tried Ibrofen gel? It usually works with me, or heat rub if you can't take Ibrofen. Hope it eases off soon.
Glad you have got your suite anyway, I am sure you have it all looking lovely now. Are the spring flowers out in that garden around you?

Sallie, lovely to see you.
I am sure that it is difficult for your family to cope with your mood swings because of your illness. It is horrible for you and horrible for them on two counts. 1. They don't like to see you suffering while not really knowing how to help. And 2. They are on edge because they don't know how you will react to what they say/do.
One good thing is that you know this and you can talk about how you feel, I assume that you talk to them about it like you talk to us. I must be frightening for them that your coping mechanism has you banging your head against the wall or pulling your hair when you have thoughts that you want to go away. Have you tried listening to music? I know you, like me will probably have a bit of a problem with that but I find I can play music through my desk top and hear it very well. I think you need to find an alternative to the head banging which is more unobtrusive as that must be frightening for the family to witness. Difficult but there must be something. What about reading out loud, maybe poetry, if you listen to what you are reading you may shut out any bad thoughts.
Maybe your fears of abandonment (which are I am sure unfounded) and rejection are a result of your family telling you about walking on egg shells. They are not going to leave you. <3 <3 And nobody on here is going to reject you, we all love you and just want you to find a way out of this black maze you have found yourself in.
The family and friends who suggest you are not the Sallie they used to know are not being helpful. I suspect you were, at one time happy and cheerful and at the moment are sad and worried. Inevitable when you suffer an illness such as you suffer. You will come through it you know, you just have to try and keep going, accept the help you are offered through therapy and ignore any negative comments. And talk, talk, talk to us on here. PM me any time if you don't want to talk on the board.
Yes the Great Grandchildren are lovely, we are going to see them at the end of the week, loaded up with pressies of course.
Congratulations to your brother and his wife on being prospective Grandparents. Our third Great Grandchild, a girl is due end of June.
Anyway, you take care and keep coming on here.

Mo, Hope you are able to enjoy your anniversary. I believe the actual date is the 29th isn't it? so you have a real one this year.

Huia, Sylvia, Marie and anyone else~~~~~~~~~~~~ Hello, hope you are all well.

I am freezing and have just put the heating on. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Mo, so sorry to hear about your son and daughter-in-law splitting up, I hope that maybe after some family therapy with a psychologist they will get back together again. Yes, mental illness in the family, whether child or adult, certainly affects family relationships.

.
So Mo, I hope that your son and daughter-in-law will be able to have family therapy and that Lilly has seen a child Psychiatrist or child Psychologist by now, and that she is at least being assessed, trouble is, it takes so long because these mental disorders are very complex so assessments and treatment takes a long time.

Alun, will hopefully have his operation towards the end of April, so as you can all imagine, between it all, things are a bit strained here, some days are not too bad, but then there are the days that I find it very difficult to cope, even though I have a lot of support from the Psychiatric Team I am under.

Mo, you and Roly look after yourselves through all the stressful and worrying times you are having. I am thinking about you all and hope and pray that it will all turn out well for everyone.

Ann, sorry I haven't replied to you until now about the photos of your lovely second great-grandson and also the ones of Luke with his new baby brother.
My niece who will be 39 on the 22nd of March, is expecting her first baby on the 8th of July, she is my brother and sister-in-law's only child, so as you can imagine, they are really thrilled with the news.
Hope that both you and T are okay, and also with your daughter.

Jean, pleased to know that you are slowly improving and that you have managed to go
and do some shopping. Hope that D is feeling better now and that everything is okay with J. Have you seen Charlie lately? Hope that he and his dad are both okay too.

Huia, Sylvia and Marie, I hope that you and your families are all alright too.

Thinking about you all,

Take care everyone.

I know that the traits of BPD I have is definitely affecting relationships in our family, things here are not very good at all at the moment. All of them tell me that they all feel as though they are walking on egg shells, they never know how I am going to react from anything they say. I have several different traits, but the worse ones are, rejection and fear of abandonment and anger and also impulsive suicidal thoughts.
I pull my hair and hit or knock my head against the wall, so that the thoughts will go.
We will have to have family therapy with the psychologist at some point, but not sure when that will be.
So Mo, I hope that your son and daughter-in-law will also be able to have family therapy too, and that Lilly has seen a child Psychiatrist or child Psychologist by now, and that she is at least being assessed, trouble is, it takes so long because these mental disorders are very complex so assessments and treatment takes a long time.
A couple of relatives and friends have told me that I am not like the Sallie I was, I didn't ask them in which way, but wish I had now.

Mo, yes anything do do with a child that seems to go on and on with little respite is going to put a strain on a marriage. Maybe things will settle and perhaps they will get back together. I can't remember is it your son or daughter?

Hi Mo

so sorry to hear the news about their separation. It's always sad when marriages break up.

How is Lilly taking it? It could make her act up even more.

Look after yourself while taking care of them, and worrying about them all xxxx

Mo in Kent Report 26 Feb 2016 16:20

Ann, Lilly's problem has probably not helped in her parents relationship, it has put a lot of pressure on both of them.
I hope you are both well love.

I wonder if Sallie's Alun has been in for his operation, perhaps that's why she has not been on for a while.
Other than that I just hope she is o.k in herself.

Sending our esteemed leader Jean, love and hugs, in hopes that she is feeling better now.

Thinking also of Sylvia, Marie and our Huia.
Take care everyone Mo xxx

Oh Mo that is so upsetting for you and also for Lilly's Mum and Dad Has Lilly's problem affected their relationship do you think? I can imagine that you are being called on for support now so we understand if youa re not on here as much. So sad when these things happen, so upsetting for all the family.
