Apparently he and his partner didn't play well and lost. I went shopping in Cheltenham, had a lovely time wandering in and out of shops T doesn't like much. Bought 2 pairs of shorts, nail varnish, lipstick and a pair of earrings.

Hi Mo, no not long before the holiday but I shan't put the dates on here. I'll PM you, don't want to advertise when we are away. Although our neighbours keep a pretty close eye on the house and garden for us.

I haven't seen Huia on here for a few days but no doubt she is busy busy.

Jean, how did you get on with your eye check up. I hope it was all OK. such a worry having all these things to be checked over. I don't remember my parents even thinking about their health as we do.

Better go and check on T he is painting the fence and shed!!! :-)

Hello girls,
Don't worry, I definately will be bringing the mistake up with my doctor next week.
And of she gets short with me, I shall be doing a lickle bit of shouting myself, especially as I had a wasted journey going there myself.

I hope things went o.k at the glaucoma clinic Jean. Roly went the week before last, and got his results through today, everything is o.k with his eyes at the moment as far as they are concerned. But, he does have to have his cattaract lasered when the appoitment comes through. ( now we know thats a laugh don't we Jean...waiting for an appointment I mean)

Hi Ann, I wasn't ignoring you love. I bet T has been having a great time over the last few days, the golf course must have been calling him every morning....what with the sun shining through the bedroom window, and the golf clubs shouting come and get me.

Good to see you Sylvia. I was only thinking to myself that we hadn't heard from you in a wee while, and lo and behold, theres your lovely face showing up.

I had an E.Mail from Marie in OZ, and she has been having a terrible time trying to get onto this site. In the end she mailed me to let you all know what had been happening.
It seems that it's not just the U.K thats having problems, what with both Sylvia and Marie suffering problems with connection to here.
Thinking about it, has Huia been on lately?

Ooops hi there Sallie, I nearly forgot to say hello to you my love.

Well my lovelies, I will say cheerio for now. Love Mo xxx

Beggars belief Mo, I can understand how angry you are, what our surgery does is tell you that any conversation will be recorded, so I wonder if it is the same at yours, I would ask as the person who told you and two other folk seems to have misheard or not read the times of the appointments, I couldnt leave it , I would have to find out , it happened to me quite a while ago and there was no proof of the time I was told, now they record ,so at least they can be checked....Its like me I rang yesyerday to try and find out if my date was even on the bookings, could I get through could I eck, I phoned every number , I finally got to speak to someone who said she would contact the person who deals with the appointments and she would get her to contact me , still waiting , . :-S :-S :-S
tomorrow I go to the glaucoma clinic for my check up, I had my eyes tested at s/ savers on monday and he told me my left eye was weaker than last time, due to the cataract getting bigger, so we shall see what tomorows check up reveals,
I am having problems with being cold all the time , everyone else is boiling , and I am wrapped in a throw. lecky blanket on every night....

Its not all bad I have lost nearly a stone in weight,so onwards and weightless

Sallie i will send some pics through tell me what you think will you. hope all is well with you and yours.

big waves to everyone else~~~~~~~~~~~~~ X ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Mo that is unacceptable, especially as more than one appointment was wrong. Don't forget to mention the mix up to your doctor. So frustrating for you.

Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 24 Apr 2013 18:21

Well girls, would you believe it...I went for my appointment with the doctor at 1.50, and was told that my appointment was at 12.50, and I would not be able to see the doctor till next Tuesday at 5.00p.m.
I was absolutley fuming, as the receptionist at the doctorshad phoned me, and made this time and date for me, and I wrote it down on the calender, as she was speaking to me, and I even repeated what she had told me.
Apparantly I was the third person who had missed an appointment today, and I argued with them saying it was obviously the receptionists fault for writing the wrong times down.
The woman I spoke to did agree with me, but said she couldn't really comment as the person who made the appointment was a work collegue.
She went in to see the doctor to explain what had happened ,but as she was fully booked all afternoon, I wouldn't be able to see her till Tuesday.
It's no good me seeing one of the other doctors, as they dont know my history.

Well enough of my moans and groans, how are we all keeping?
I hope all of us in the U.K have been enjoying the good weather, but it's not going to last is it.
Yesterday, I cleared all the weeds and moss from the front drive. Cor what a job, and my arms were killing me by the time I was done.
Today I have planted lots of Pansies into pots, and tomorrow I hope to get more plants put in, to make the garden look presentable for the summer...thats if we finally get one that is.

Well girls, I hope to hear from you soon. Take care one and all, Mo xxx

Mo, just want to wish you all the best with your doctors appointment tomorrow. I will be thinking about you. Good luck!

Sylvia, nice to hear from you and to know that you and OH are both alright.

As you say this site has been very, very slow for a good while, I don't know what on earth GR are doing....I know that they certainly need to sort it out.

Hope all our other friends on here are all okay.

Take care all.

Hi Mo, and everyone

I hadn't realised it was so long since I last posted :-(

I find GR so frustrating these days, with all the Error messages, and the slowness of the site, that I am spending less and less time on here.

I think I get the Error message when submitting a post about 85-90% of the time ................. but I've learnt to do one of the avoidance things.

I use a different one from the ones already posted, but I won't confuse you any more

The main thing is .................. do NOT hit SUBMIT more than ONCE!!!

Instead, I have been spending a lot of time re-checking my trees against some of the new records that are coming on to line.

Some times I work on my tree, and sometimes on OH's ........ I am finding quite a lot of stuff, and solving some mysteries

we're all well, spring is coming, the street trees are in full bloom, and Vancouver would look glorious ................ if only we could stop having rain :-)

Take care everyone

Thanks Ann, I will give that a go too.... it's going alright at the moment. (touch wood).lol!!

Mo, I didn't realise the last post I made had posted three times, until I came back on here this evening.lol!! All sorted now, at least until the next time.

It's was lovely to have dried the washing out on the line today, did a good bit of washing, now it all needs ironing - a job I hate, I'll do that tomorrow.

We have been thinking about having a new bathroom suite for a while now, so today we finally got round to ordering one, the one we are having will take between three and four weeks to come.....looking forward to having it done.

Speak to you all tomorrow.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Sallie, when you get the error message, hit the back button. Then don't try and submit again but go back into the thread (back button again) look at the thread and you will see that despite it saying error, it will have posted your post....... See?

Mo in Kent Report 20 Apr 2013 16:55

LOL Sallie, three postings this time honey. I seriously don't think it's your computer, it's this site again.

Well what a glorious day it is today, sunshine across the board. I have been out in the garden, filling my planters with compost, in readiness for when I get my new plants this week.
I want the compost to settle, before I put the plants in, otherwise, it seems to settle to far down in the pots.
Another job that is now jobbed, is taking the moss out from between the paving slabs. Oooh so back breaking, but it looks much better now.

Time to start doing the dinner now, so I will see you later.
Love to all, Mo xxx

Thanks Huia, I'll try that when I get the problem next time.....so far today it's been okay.lol!!

Jean, as D suggested it might be worth giving the hospital a ring, goodness knows when you will hear otherwise. It can't be anything that they are worried about or you would have heard from them well before now, so try not to worry too much.

Hope D is getting along alright.... with no problems.

Ann, I'm thinking that perhaps I need a new laptop with all the problems I am getting with GR, but then there are so many others getting probs too.....I don't think we all need new laptops or desk tops.lol!!

Speak to you all later.

Love, Sallie.xxx

Huia Report 20 Apr 2013 08:28

Sallie, I now count 10 seconds after I have hit submit, and if nothing has happened by then I hit the refresh button. If it does come up as Error before you have done that, hit the back arrow, then when it goes back, hit the refresh button. That usually does the trick.

Just Jean

Just Jean Report 20 Apr 2013 07:56

Sallie I am still waiting for a date, D suggests Iring the hospital and see if its been sent in.....so I will do that, otherwise I could be waiting forever....

It's a blinking nuisance.

Sallie, are you trying to beat my record? Five times for you. :-D

Sallie

Sallie Report 19 Apr 2013 22:02

Hi Mo, I'm sure if there was anything to worry about the hospital would have been in touch with you to go back there. Maybe you have a hiatus hernia and will need some medication for it....my mother had one for years, but she suffered more from pain and discomfort than acid reflux, she was prescribed Tagamet when she was diagnosed with it.

I will be thinking about you and hope that all goes well for you on Wednesday.

Jean, have you heard about when you having a biopsy yet? It will be nice when it's all done and sorted.

Haven't been on GR for a few days...my cousin rang me and told me that her and her hubby have seperated after 24years of marriage, he has been having an affair. So that's it as far as my cousin is concerned. Just hope that she'll be alright.

Speak to you soon.

Love, Sallie.xxx
