I've finished reading Penmarric and I've just started reading Cashelmara. a bit like Penmarric but instead of being set in Cornwall, this book is set in Ireland

Fiona aka Ruby

Fiona aka Ruby Report 9 Nov 2009 19:42

I've just finished reading 'Little Stranger' by Sarah Waters.

Alexander G Bell was obviously a typical man!

I wonder why Joy and Posh are amused - I shall look carefully and see if I can find the source :)))

Why aren't Mormon women allowed 4 husbands ? That would balance things.

Interesting question ?

The only 2 animals that can see behind itself without turning its head are the rabbit and the parrot.

Now I find that slightly Interesting!!
I'm sure my Mother used to say that she had eyes in the back of her head?? :-)))

Fiona aka Ruby

Fiona aka Ruby Report 10 Nov 2009 17:33

But why would Mormon women want four husbands?

Dermot

Dermot Report 10 Nov 2009 17:40

"Marriage is a great institution but some of us are not ready for an institution yet". (Misquoted Mae West).

She could have one with good genes
One with a good bank balance
One to converse with
and one to do the ironing

Should GB also telephone the lucky lottery winners?

One Chinook will set you back about £6million. Therefore, the 'Lucky Seven' from Liverpool, for example, could buy one each for the forces in Afghanistan and still have a tidy sum left.

My reply to election canvassers will be:- " I’ve heard all these lies before."

PatriciaAnn

Hi Posh,
I was a bit busy at work.
I've just had chicken curry!
The election canvassers don't come down my road. It's not posh enough.
