When I came on here today I noticed the entry had about going to Morecambe......

so

Bring me Sunshine, in your smile,
Bring me Laughter, all the while,
In this world where we live, there should be more happiness,
So much joy you can give, to each brand new bright tomorrow,

Make me happy, through the years,
Never bring me, any tears,
Let your arms be as warm as the sun from up above,
Bring me fun, bring me sunshine, bring me love.

Bring me Sunshine, in your eyes,
Bring me rainbows, from the skies,
Life's too short to be spent having anything but fun,
We can be so content, if we gather little sunbeams,

Be light-hearted, all day long,
Keep me singing, happy songs,
Let your arms be as warm as the sun from up above,
Bring me fun, bring me sunshine, bring me love.

And then you jaunt off around the room like Eric and Ernie.
"I'll go and put on the Tea Urn."

Morning/Evening....:>))

Just popping in to wish all a very Happy New year,as we here downunder move into the last day of 2010.

May the New Year coming bring you all, good health, happiness, and prosperity.

A warm day predicted for us in the south east of the country ( 41c )....( Total Fire ban ) and we are off to eldest daughters for a swim and a BBQ,to see in the New Year celebrations.

Thanks for you freindship.

There are two days in every week about which we should not worry, two days which should be kept free from fear and apprehension. One of these days is Yesterday with all its mistakes and cares, its faults and blunders, its aches and pains. Yesterday has passed forever beyond our control. All the money in the world cannot bring back Yesterday. We cannot undo a single act we performed; we cannot erase a single word we said. Yesterday is gone forever. The other day we should not worry about is Tomorrow with all its possible adversities, its burdens, its large promise and its poor performance; Tomorrow is also beyond our immediate control. Tomorrow's sun will rise, either in splendor or behind a mask of clouds, but it will rise. Until it does, we have no stake in Tomorrow, for it is yet to be born. This leaves only one day, Today. Any person can fight the battle of just one day. It is when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternities Yesterday and Tomorrow that we break down. It is not the experience of Today that drives a person mad, it is the remorse or bitterness of something which happened Yesterday and the dread of what Tomorrow may bring. Live but one day at a time.

See you all next year, and "Av a good un"...:>))

Cheers. Tony ..:>))

The police do random morning breath tests here. Hubby and dau were stopped the other morning, neither failed, Dau has been teetotal since collapsing in Cardiff at a rugby international day 2 yrs ago , she was shopping for wedding bit's and pieces before the match, (she was a bridesmaid) , and didn;t eat lunch.
She only had one Bud !
Hubby had to go and fetch her 30 miles both ways
Best not to risk it !!!!

Queensland not lookin' too good - the pics on the news tonight were of lots of water and only the roof tops were visible in places.

We have the same slogan Tony, " Drink & Drive then you are a bloody idiot" we have lots of advertisements on that theme on the TV as well.

Evening Ethics....:>))

A'aaaaah...a great Christmas day.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas...:>))

Seems to be lots of left overs in the fridge, and i dont think i could fit any more plum pud into the guts.
Have had 10 helpings since Chrissy day.....do like my hot plum pudding ( with brandy custard & cream ).... lol

Carolee. Yes...i only drink VB ( Victoria Bitter ).....its a state thingy...lol It would be very un-ethical to drink other brands and my father would disown me if he was alive...lol
Might have a Crown Lager every now and then, but only at a Posh party....;>))

Lots of left over Pork,Chicken, and Ham ( off the bone ) sangas, and tossed salad for lunch & tea over the last few days.

Started back at work this morning, but the streets were like a ghost town..( no traffic ) so a leisurely drive to work, and not one traffic jamb in site.
Police random breath ( alchahol and/or drugs ) testing everywhere around Melbourne suburbs, and this is normal for us at this time of the year. People tend to get a bit more merry during the festive season, and then try to drive home from the pubs ( Drunk )... and wipe some poor innocent family out.
We call them Idiots in this Country, and our large "Bill Boards" that line our Freeways and Highways depict the wording.... " Drink & Drive then you are a bloody idiot" written in very big words.

Warm days for the state of Victoria and Melbourne in general. A pleasant 29c today, and the next two days 25c and a warmy for New Years Eve 39c..........27c for 1st Jan 2011

Must go water my Vege garden, and pick a few cucumbers and cherry toms ( tomatoes ).

Av a good un.

Should have a sign up

Posts cross here.... like they do for Koalas and echidnas etc.

We were down country on Christmas Day and here were seven doves in the middle of the road, they are really quite silly because they would fly up in the air and then settle down again a few yards further along the road. It took them awhile to get the message that we had right of way and they couldn't keep parking in front of us. The next thing here was a drake with what could only be described as his harem of ducks and he was very manly making sure they all got across the road safely.
We try and do as many back roads as we can for change of scenery - we end up seeing some strange goings on at times.

Not Cross Persey xx

Hi Barbra

I'm well and have managed to score a months work at a Council not too far from where I live. I say a month but it actually works out to ten days in total but spread throughout January.

The weather is manageable at the moment without having to resort to the airconditioning. Also it is cool during the night. However, next Monday and Tuesday we are forecast to be back up at 36c again, with 40c for Perth!
