OMG Hope you got it in writing that they'll replace the carpet after the year.
The last thing you needed on top of everything else.

Good to hear that Ed has the feeling back in his legs. Now he just needs to do as he's told lol and if he's a good boy, he'll be home soon. But NOT until the carpet has been changed lol

Trust it won't be long til he's back home with you.

Good to see that Eddie is still progressing.
The carpet people sure chance their luck!! Here was I thinking that it is only over here that firms do that sort of thing and hope to get away with it!!

Take care.

I am really pleased to hear that Eddie is getting some feeling back, that is great news.

The carpet is so annoying, but at least you have something down for now. I once had a room done and the fitter left all the scrap bits in an odd line across the middle of the room. Being a suspicious type, I lifted them up and sure enough there was a huge fault line right across the carpet. They must think we are daft.

Mummo, God Bless to you both. By the way, we are awaiting wardrobes to be delivered from * and * for the daughter in law. Christmas is always their excuse. If they can't deliver, they should not take the order.
Take care now

Morning............won't say its good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't know if you remember but when Eddie fell he had a large tin of paint that went everywhere, well today is the day they are laying the new stairs, landing and hallway carpet, they knocked the door at 9.00am and told me that when they unrolled the carpet it was different shades so would l accept that................am l stupid, got on to the shop and they said that they would have to reorder the carpet and it wouldn't be layed till after the new year, well won't repeat what l said to them (lol), the outcome is that they are laying the faulty carpet for now and then replace it after Christmas., will anything ever go right !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Not much news to tell you about Ed , still just laying on his back not moving but he did have restless legs the other day but the doctors said that was a good sign as the feeling is back in his legs, Ed is quite cheerful in himself but can't wait to come home, bless him. xx

I'm pleased to hear that Eddie is still progressing. Everyday brings him closer to being healed..........I know that being stuck in hospital so close to Christmas is a bit of a downer but at least there is the comfort of knowing that he is getting better : ))

Chin up ,

Hope Eddie continues to make good progress and you can find a way to help relieve the boredom for him. It will be strange not to have him around at Christmas but I am sure you will spend lots of time with him at the hospital and you can have a late Christmas when he gets back home.

Hope the snow isn't too bad your way so you can access the hospital easily and often.

take care of yourself and let your daughter give you some tlc. Hope the hairdo went well
All good wishes to you and your husband and your family too.

Blue Moon

Blue Moon Report 17 Dec 2009 20:48

A Joke for Eddie..........

A motorcycle cop was rushed to the hospital with an inflamed appendix.

The doctors operated and advised him that all was well. However, the patrolman kept feeling something pulling at the hairs on his chest. Worried that it might be a second surgery the doctors hadn't told him about, he finally got enough energy to pull his hospital gown down enough so he could look at what was making him so uncomfortable.

Taped firmly across his hairy chest were three wide strips of adhesive tape, the ultra sticky kind. Written in large black letters was the sentence, "Get well soon! Luv, from the nurse you gave a ticket to last week!"
