Mummo , you wouldn't be human if you didn't both have your grumbly (sp)moments.I dread to think how I would be I were in your shoes.
Just get on here and scream Blue Murder when you need to .I shall have some earplugs close by lol

Hello Mummo.....there are bound to be times when your feeling irritable and Ed is extra grumberly..........you are both in this for the long haul......but try to always remember that every day you both get through is one little step closer to Ed recovering .
He must be getting bored out of his mind and you.........worn to a frazzle and still trying to raise his spirits.....bless you .

(((((((hugs ))))))) for you and they are special ones cos I don't usually go in for the hugs thing......lol

Thanks Rach.........need the hug,
Sometimes l do find it tiring and daughter has to go back home tomorrow so will be even harder, not that l'm moaning !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did have a few cross words with Ed today as his full body brace isn't that comfortable and he thought l'd put it on wrong (wrong thing to say to me today, lol) and l did blow, but everything alright now and he is back in bed with just neck brace on so more contented, xx

Hi Mummo
Great that things are going well now.The blocks on the bed are a good idea.
It will raise the top up,but he will still be straight
Just make sure you look after yourself as well

Hi Liz, thanks for the tip, Ed is allowed one pillow under his head now but l have to have it just right so it doesn't throw the head out of line with the body ( if that makes sense) .

Hi Mummo

Lying flat must be boring for Eddie. i wonder if you would be allowed to make the top of the bed higher so that altho still lying flat, he is raised a bit so able to see more. You can buy special things that bed legs fit into and it would mean he wasn't looking at the ceiling all the time. Might be worth asking if it would be allowed and if it would work - you couldn't have it too high as he might slide downwards but a couple of inches or so might be ok.

Mary, Ed has to lay flat in bed most of the day so has a small mirror to look in, lol.
I do get him up and put the full body brace on him but he is only meant to sit up for a short while and the trouble is he never wants to go back to bed mind you after nearly 8 weeks on his back l can't blame him !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Morning Rach, x
Morning everyone else, hope you all have a good day. x
