I have heard from a friend that when Anc*stry has the 1911 census there will be no additional charge to view it.

This was in a newsletter (which I didn't get). Has anyone else heard this?

I'm not sure what the difference is but I heard it was the 1911 summary books rather than the full census returns. Someone else may know the difference - I'm not being much help:-))

It is the 1911 census summary books; these do not need to be transcribed whereas the data would need to be transcribed into transcriptions and images.

I am rather dim; what are the summary books?

Are they any use to us?
