Hello everyone who posts very nice messages on here. I do not generally read this section but as I am iced in I thought I would give it a try! I am altogether confused tho' as I understood this section was for family history chat only and yet it seems much more than that , am I getting it wrong?

I don't think you've got it wrong, it's the long term users who used General as a chat board before the introduction of the official Chat board. Some of us were so entrenched we never swapped over, lol.
