I was looking at a way of putting my family tree stuff together Maggie and saw some binders that make it look like a proper 'book'.... try this for a picture

Thanks Mau ! :)

Can I pick peeps brains please?

I have been printing out on and off all day, one poem at a time with appropriate illustrations on A4 sheets. Phew, about another 4 weeks to go..lol
Any ideas on how I can put it all together, rather than just in a file or ringbinder?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

Hi Maggie
Think your poems would make a lovely book for family

thanks Rose and Ann, have picked out a couple from your suggestions.

Had a poetry filled day today. My computer is bursting with it, so decided to print it all off ( scrapping stuff along the way ! )

OH wants me to turn it all into a book, so made a start, and will leave it all to prosperity and my grandchild..lol

Just seen your road to nowhere Rose Lol!!! Hope your day is better today!

From the road to nowhere
The way back you need to find
Cast off all those woes
Ignore all the lows
Leave all your misery behind

Sorry I am rubbish at poetry. Hopefully the pure awfulness of it will cheer you up!!!

LOL BC you made me laugh...now THAT takes skill today ...you have to laugh don't you? we always have had a talent for misery in our family lol, but it goes so low that you end up laughing at the sheer absurdity of it ;)

lol Mau, could be couldn't it? heading off to the chopping block ;)

Rose that sounds like a poem about Mary Queen of Scots or even for some of Henry's wives ;O(

told you lol

"Road to Nowhere"

I’m on the road to nowhere
Leaving you behind
Farewell words and memories
Ropes and chains to bind.
No new horizon beckons
No star to light my way
Just painful step by step
Toward a future made of grey.

Thanks for those Ann :)

The "Road to Nowhere" sounds a bit prophetic...I might take a break from 'Martin' to write a really miserable poem on that ;) lol

A few more prompts if anyone is stuck

First lines:
The ringing phone filled her with dread.
I walked to work today.
The lights appeared out of the darkness.
I remember the day.
Everyone in the office turned and stared.
They turned and hurried back down the steps.

Titles:
Road to Nowhere.
A Time to Love.
Journey of Kindness.
Garden of Joy.
Fields of Heaven
The Touch of Fear.

And there are still the first lot I found and put up.

I have just started to go through them, lol.... I will catch up, I promise... *stuff* going on has been a bit difficult... I am writing, but not for public viewing, not at the moment.... but I love reading your work, and I promise not to leave it so long before I respond again.....

Love
