We have 2 papers at the weekend (Sat) D.Mail and Mirror. Mail for the tv booklet, and Vic also has the mirror through the week for the sports. We always switch tv on first thing and get BBC breakfast TV, at 9.15 its usually switched over to the radio. |

I can't read some papers without feeling 'rage'. I particularly hate the Mail and Express, which still profess to be 'quality' papers. However the broadsheets aren't that wonderful either. We have a paper on Saturdays only, mainly for crossword, TV guide, weekend-y bits etc. I also subscribe to 'The Week', a digest of all main news stories from around the world in a compact format. I usually buy the weekly local. |

I read the headlines on line, sometimes read a newspaper but appreciate when people highlight certain things in the news that I have missed. Sometimes these threads make interesting reading particularly if the person gives their opinion on the subject. |

Hi Huia, hope you are ok. It takes too long to look at the hatches etc online and not everything is in the online paper but can get the gist of the headlines and so I don't miss anything important to our city. |

I gave up having the daily paper delivered here as it had become rather expensive and at the time I had other expenses. I would catch up in the library once a week. Then I got the computer and found I could read it online. I can also look at hatches matches and dispatches online, so no worries there. We do receive several free local newspapers which I avidly read for local news. And I need them in winter for lighting the fires, after I have read them of course! |

I read my local newspaper on line every evening altho the neighbour sticks his paper through the door when he has read it so I can check the hatch, match and dispatch column. I have so many of my Mum's old friends still alive that I like to keep tabs on who has left us so that if appropriate, i.e. I know the family, I can send a card of sympathy or attend the funeral out of respect for the friendship they shared with my late Mum. Sadly over the years have seen several school friends who have left us too soon, as well. |

Have the daily paper delivered every day. It is mostly Australian news and a bit of world news. So I also enjoy seeing the news threads as it keeps me up with the rest of the world. If I find it interesting I will then go and google the story. |

I read some newspapers on line - mainly the Times, Telegraph and Independent, plus some local ones - and the BBC news site. |
