Of course they do.

It's taken me four days to make mine hear me asking him to sort out the filter in the fish tank! Funny how I can whisper the word 'beer' ten miles away from him and he comes running.

(or when I mention bacon butties on FB)

OH's doctor was in hysterics when he told him 'my wife thinks I have a hearing problem'.

He hears the tiniest rustle of a bag at the other end of the house, but can't hear me calling him in the next room!!
