Bury St Edmunds hospital wanted to advertise a cleaner's job with Job Centre Plus at Thetford. The criteria was for 'hard-working and reliable applicants'.

The job centre in their wisdom asked them to re-word it as the word 'reliable' may discriminate against the unreliable.


Beggars belief eh?

It's true! Just heard it on the local news!

I nearly fell off me chair when I heard. That's taking things too far.

The employer said she didn't want unreliable staff, so if she's done for discrimination, so be it lol

It was on our local news, and the woman at the JCP at Thetford has answered the claims to confirm they are true.
